China will not be easily cowed in a trade dispute. Chinese President Xi Jinping is now exchanging threats of tit-for-tat tariffs with President Trump, who announced Thursday he’s considering raising the stakes another $100 billion. China vowed to defend itself “at any cost.”

Compared to the scale of the U.S. economy, the numbers are still relatively trivial and mostly theoretical. But if things do spiral into all-out trade war, it’s worth noting China has a nuclear option.

I’m referring to rare earth metals.

These are elements like dysprosium, neodymium, gadolinium, and ytterbium. They aren’t actually rare, but they do play crucial roles in everything from smart phones to electric car motors, hard drives, wind turbines, military radar, smart bombs, laser guidance, and more. They’re also quite difficult to mine and process.

Fear and Lying in Las Vegas Part V

The FBI paid thousands of tax dollars for billboards around Nevada asking the public for tips about the Mandalay Bay massacre on Oct. 1 to help the Bureau ‘find a motive’ for the mass shooting.

It was little more than expensive theater. The FBI had plenty of evidence but it simply chose not to follow up. And billboards are expensive to rent, especially in and around Las Vegas. A costly ruse.

This series ‘Fear and Lying in Las Vegas’ is mostly about what the FBI didn’t do, who and what it failed to look at in Las Vegas in the last six months since the shooting. While there are many theories about what happened in Las Vegas — and who did what — the True Pundit series has focused on presenting evidence the FBI ignored.

And asking why.

Even after seasoned intelligence veterans pleaded with FBI brass in Las Vegas and Washington D.C. to look at all the evidence.

That includes the actions of Brian Hodge, a person of interest identified by investigators who has somehow eluded the FBI’s Vegas crosshairs. Even though there is compelling evidence for Hodge, an Australian national living in the United States, to have been questioned. He never was interrogated, FBI sources said.

Background on Hodge can be found in Part IV and Part III of this series. We pick up the story here where those portions of the series stopped.

There is much more intelligence on Hodge the FBI has known and done little about. And the embattled Bureau wants to keep it that way. But that simply isn’t reality. Facts will get leaked by good agents who are frustrated with lies and bureaucrats.

Hodge began live Tweeting and Facebooking the Las Vegas massacre, claiming a host of unsubstantiated claims. But for investigators it was what Hodge did and where he was at the time of these communications that have proven the most intriguing, FBI insiders said.

Hodge left Los Angeles on September 30th for Las vegas and disabled the geo-locating feature on this Twitter account.

“Something you do to hide your location,” one FBI source confirmed. “This is a surveillance-avoidance tactic that is taught to bad actors.”

FBI insiders said Hodge Tweeted throughout the Mandalay Bay attack with the geo-locating feature on his account disabled, thinking his location would be masked.

Piecemeal gun control being rolled out across America

A village in Illinois has declared a ban on “assault weapons,” and has given gun owners 60 days to turn them all in.

After June 13, residents of the Village of Deerfield have 60 days to sell, render inoperable or turn their “assault weapons” over to local police.

“Any person who is found to have violated this Article shall be fined not less than $250 and not more than $1,000 for each offense,” reads the ordinance penalty, “and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.”

The village defines an “assault weapon” broadly, including rifles with fixed magazines that are capable of accepting magazines holding more than ten rounds, certain pistols with detachable magazines, and certain shotguns.

The town has additionally banned so-called high capacity magazines.

But was Trump actually right about rapists illegally crossing the border and coming into the U.S. from Mexico?

If you believe that a caravan of more than 1,000 people, now making its way through Mexico towards the U.S. border, sprang up from nowhere overnight, then you would also believe that former President Barack Obama had the best interest of America at heart when his administration allowed an influx of unattended minors into into the U.S. back in 2014.

Caravans have been part of the immigration picture for some time now, including before the election of President Donald Trump.

The MSM and social media presentation of the latest caravan as a group of desperate, bedraggled migrants just looking for a safe port in the U.S., is disingenuous at best.

These determined Central America migrants want in on changing the current populist politics of the U.S.A. and are determined to force their way through to have a go at it.

Their list of demands is one they expect President Trump to comply with, including unfettered access to the U.S. upon their expected mid-May arrival. (InforWars, April 2, 2018)

“Pueblo sin Fronteras, the political outreach group who organized the caravan, released a press statement for the United States, Mexico, and their respective Central American governments.

“We demand of the Mexico and the United States: that they respect our rights as refugees and our right to dignified work to be able to support our families,” the statements read.

“The second demand is “that they open the borders to us because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel.”

An August 2017 memo from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to Special Counsel Robert Mueller surfaced late Monday evening in a court filing. Mueller used the memo to defend his scope of the investigation against a recent motion Manafort filed to dismiss his case.

In the heavily redacted memo, Robert Mueller admits Rosenstein’s order appointing him to Special Counsel was intentionally vague.
