According to Wikipedia, a warrant for the arrest of Reiner Fuëllmich was issued in March, 2023 in Germany. Evidently Fuellmich traveled to Mexico around the same time (not sure whether of not he arrived there shortly before or shortly after).
It appears that he was arrested on about October 13, 2023 while renewing (or at least attempting to renew) his German passport at the German consulate or embassy in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
At the time of his arrested he allegedly said that he was not aware of the outstanding arrest warrant.
It looks like he might have been flown directly from the embassy (in Mexico) to Germany without due process or any sort of official extradition hearing or anything legally required by law.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Berlin, Germany has purportedly stated that the method of Fuellmich’s extradition is not cause for a criminal investigation.
Fuellmich’s past work included, though is not limited to, successfully suing Deutsche Bank (he previously worked there) in small mortgage cases.
