1st day of Christmas 2015 with Barack Obama: conclusions, observations and hypotheses

Nandi Bear spotted in Obama's Kenya

Kenyan Nandi Bear spotted at Nandibear.com?

For some societies (e.g., Dominican Republic) and cultures the first day of Christmas begins on December 1st so please don’t let yourself get all conclusion-addicted in thinking that it just can’t be.

After several years of reading and writing about Kenyan born Barack Hussein Obama II, politics, current events, eligibility litigation, natural born citizen, birthers and obots I’ve learned that it’s best to be cautious and prudent when forming and stating conclusions.

Perhaps there was a time long ago (long before I was born) when there may have been some benefit to quickly forming conclusions.  If there was then it may have been around the same time that common sense really and truly made any sense at all.

Swift conclusions and common sense (I invariably cringe each time that I hear the phrase being used) may have served useful purposes for hunters and gathers and other early human societies but they are valueless and ineffective in the year 2015.

I’ve never been an advocate of the common sense phrase but I have, at least in writing, used the word conclusion more often than was warranted.

Henceforth here at the WOBIK Blog I will strive to use words such as observation and hypothesis when applicable and in lieu of conclusion.

Directly below are Merriam-Webster and Oxford Dictionary definitions for:

conclusion:

Merriam-Webster: a final decision or judgment : an opinion or decision that is formed after a period of thought or research

Oxford dictionaries: a judgment or decision reached by reasoning

Directly below are Merriam-Webster and Oxford Dictionary definitions for:

observation:

Merriam-Webstera judgment on or inference from what one has observed; broadly : remark, statement

Oxford dictionaries: a remark, statement, or comment based on something one has seen, heard, or noticed

hypothesis:

Merriam-Webster: an idea or theory that is not proven but that leads to further study or discussion

Oxford dictionaries: A supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation… and… a proposition made as a basis for reasoning, without any assumption of its truth

However, there are a number of conclusions which I am categorically certain of and among them are Barack Hussein Obama II’s birth in Mombasa and the 2009-certified copy of his 1961 Certificate of Birth from the Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya.

Barack Obama spotted by the Nandi Bear in Kenya!

Nandibear.com book tracker
Nandibear.com books passports tracking
Nandibear.com books stamps tracking

I’ve been developing a book tracking website called Nandibear.com for almost a year now.

For readers who may not already know a Nandi Bear is a cryptid animal which purportedly lives in Kenya and ostensibly elsewhere in east Africa. The bear is named for the Nandi people of Kenya who believe that the bear hunts humans and then eats their brains.

At the Nandi Bear website you can track books as they travel the world. You can see where books have been and how far they’ve traveled.

Everyone is eligible to sign-up at the site and apply for a Nandi Bear Passport (one for each book which you’d like to track).  After doing so you can print Nandi Bear Passport stickers for your books.

Getting a passport for books that you are donating to charity or libraries (or gifting) is a spectacular and thought-provoking idea as you may be able to see where your books end up at and possibly new owners throughout the years and maybe even international travel.

Likewise, if you receive, find or purchase a book which contains a NandiBear Passport Sticker inside the front cover you’ll be able to go online at NandiBear.com and enter the book’s unique Nandi Bear Passport number and see where the book has been in the past. At the same NandiBear.com website you’ll be able to get a digital Nandi Bear Passport Stamp for your book which will let others know of the book’s new location and how you personally acquired (e.g., found it, bought at used book store, received as a gift) the book.

As the title today’s featured report suggests the Nandi Bear has spotted Barack Obama [Sr.] on the front cover of his son Malik Obama’s book, Barack Obama Sr: The Rise and Life of a True African Scholar (Nandi Bear passport 2015001131).

Malik’s book was copyrighted at some point in 2012 and I purchased my first copy (hardcover) in April of 2013.  Within the book I discovered several riveting old photographs of Barack Obama Sr.’s passport from colonial Kenya as well as a second passport for post-colonial Kenya.  Additionally I found other photographs within Malik’s book including Obama Sr.’s Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii.

In mid April, 2013 we published a number of reports here at WOBIK which included scans of the above referenced documents:

1.   Barack Hussein Obama (Sr.) – British Passport – April 29, 1959

2.  Barack Hussein Obama (Sr.) – Kenya Passport (no. 5866) – September 18, 1964

3.  Close-up Barack Hussein Obama (Sr.) passport photographs (1959 & 1964)

4.  Barack H. Obama (Sr.) – Bachelor of Arts – University of Hawaii – June 17, 1962

I also applied for a Nandi Bear Passport for my copy of Ben Carson’s book, One Nation: What we can all do to save America’s future (Nandi Bear passport 2015001130).

Directly below is a pic of the Nandi Bear passport stickers which have been affixed to the inside covers of both books –

Interview with an Obot (Oct. 16, 2015): Dr. Conspiracy aka Kevin Wayne Davidson on the WheresObamasBirthCertificate.com blogtalkradio show with host Mike Volin.

It appears that infamous Obot Dr. Conspiracy (his real name is Kevin Wayne Davidson) wast interviewed yesterday (October 16, 2015) by host Mike Volin on the WheresObamasBirthCertificate.com BlogTalkRadio show.

I wasn’t available to listen live but I did listen to the recorded interview today and there didn’t seem to be much said that I would consider to be thought-provoking or attention-grabbing.

There were a small number of callers who intermittently participated, to a certain extent, in the radio show. It should be noted that all of the callers were Birthers and that two of the callers did speak at length.

“Sarge”

A man referred to as “Sarge” (he seemed wound-up and slightly belligerent) called in and debated with Dr. Conspiracy for several or more minutes.  Much of the language that he used seemed to be counterpart with the verbiage of jail-house lawyer (i.e., an inmate who thinks of himself or herself as being a lawyer).

“Sarge” (which I presume is a shortened and informal form of the rank of Sergeant) also indicated that he was a police officer for a number of years in the state of Illinois.

“Sarge” should not be confused with eligibility activist Jeff Harrison who is a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps who also called in during the show.

Chris Strunk

Its likely that most Birther are familiar with the name Chris Strunk as he’s a litigant and petitioner in a number of civil actions which name Barack Obama as the defendant.  I’d never heard Mr. Strunk speaking before and as I listened to the featured interview I was VERY SURPISED that he seemed to be fairly well spoken, down to earth, practical and realistic.

Mr. Strunk and Dr. Conspiracy (Kevin Davidson) had a discussion which lasted for several or more minutes.

I almost forgot to mention one interesting bit of news that I did get from the radio show was that Sharon Rondeau’s website (news outlet?) The Post & Email can now be accessed for free. As readers may know Rondeau’s site was, for a number of years (though not originally),  pay-to-view with only previews available to readers who did not purchase a subscription.

The new Constitution (June, 2015) allows the President to opt for an additional reelection bid

Lucas Daniel Smith Cedar Rapids IowaFor the last few months I’ve had intentions of writing about the new Constitution but time would not permit. I have a working list of specific reports which I intend to write and I order them in terms of urgency and relevance.

Something that readers may not have heard about is the language in the new Dominican Constitution (June, 2015) which allows the President of the Dominican Republic to run for a consecutive term.

The previous Constitution of the Dominican Republic stipulated that the President must sit out at least one term (four years) before he or she can run again for office.

English-speaking readers may not have heard about the new provision regarding the consecutive reelection option for the President because there aren’t many online English-language sources for this information.
Lucas Daniel Smith Cedar Rapids IowaThe only English-language reference that I could locate was a brief report by an online news outlet called Dominican Today. They bill their site as, The first and only english language online news publication in the Dominican Republic.

As I noted once in the past here at WOBIK (In memory of Yesenia Rodriguez (age 29): electrocuted in Santo Domingo. Chikungunya in the Dominican Republic and Ebola in Obama’s Africa.) I typically avoid news from the Dominican Today.  On occasions when I do look at something that they’ve published I keep in my mind that their writers are really and truly not Dominicans.

Most, or all, of their writers are Dominicans living in the United States or Dominicans who were raised in the United States and now living in (or visiting) the Dominican Republic.  Their viewpoints, perspectives and outlooks tend to be dissimilar to those of the Dominican people.

Writers at Dominican Today seem to view social and cultural issues with tunnel vision. In other words, they view data without context (which may make cultural and social data worthless).

Moreover, it seems that their writers (even if they are in RD) look at events in the Dominican Republic through an American lens.  At any rate, their writers did publish a story on June 12, 2015 which was titled, Dominicans have a new Constitution as payoff accusations linger.  Their story consists of 150 words and can be described as, at best, a watery stew.

Readers are welcome to review that above cited story and I will thicken the soup with other relevant information provided directly below.

One of the differences between the Constitution of the Dominican Republic and the Constitution of the United States is that the Dominican Constitution (hereinafter referred to as the “RD Constitution“) does not contain Amendments. Or at least not in the same way that the Americans think of constitutional amendments.

Each time that the RD Constitution is amended or altered it becomes a completely new constitution.  It appears that there have now been thirty-nine (39) RD Constitutions.

The current President of the Dominican Republic is Danilo Medina and he assumed office on August 16, 2012.  A presidential term in the Dominican Republic consists of four (4) years.

The next general election to elect a president in the Dominican Republic will take place next year on May 15, 2016.

The most recent RD Constitution was proclaimed on June 13, 2015 (a Saturday).  Some political opponents (as well as many ordinary Dominican citizens) indicate that President Danilo Medina and his party (Dominican Liberation Party) bought the votes (or bribed legislators) in the National Assembly in order to amend the language in the Constitution regarding presidential reelection.

In the 2015 Constitution a Dominican President may opt to run for a second, consecutive, term but after term he or she will then be barred for life from the office of President and Vice President.

In the 2010 Constitution a Dominican President was not permitted a second, consecutive, term and would need to sit out at least one presidential term (4 years) before he or she could run for a second term.

Directly below I have included (and provided links to) the specific language (in blue highlight), and English translations, regarding presidential terms and reelection used in the four most recent RD Constitutions – 2015, 2010, 2002 and 1994:

2015 – RD Constitution:

English translation (rough) of 2015 – RD Consitution:

TITLE IV

Article 124. Presidential Election. Executive power is exercised by the President or
the President of the Republic, who is elected or elected every four years by direct vote. The President or the President of the Republic may opt for a second consecutive constitutional term and can never again run for the same office or the Vice Presidency.

2010 – RD Constitution:

TÍTULO IV

Artículo 124.- Elección presidencial. El Poder Ejecutivo se ejerce por el o la Presidente de la República, quien será elegido cada cuatro años por voto directo y no podrá ser electo para el período constitucional siguiente.

English translation (rough) of 2010 – RD Constitution:

TITLE IV

Article 124. Presidential Election. The executive power is exercised by the President or the Republic, who is elected every four years by direct vote and may not be elected for the next constitutional term.

2002 – RD Constitution:

English translation (rough) of 2002 – RD Constitution:

TITLE V

Article 49. The executive power is exercised by the President of the Republic, who is elected every four years by direct vote. The President of the Republic may seek a second, and only, consecutive term and thereafter will be constitutional unable to ever again run for the same office, or the Vice Presidency of the Republic.

1994 – RD Constitution:

TÍTULO V

ART. 49.- El Poder Ejecutivo se ejerce por el Presidente de la República, quien será elegido cada cuatro años por voto directo, no pudiendo ser electo para el período constitucional siguiente.

English translation (rough) of 1994 – RD Constitution:

TITLE V

Article 49. The executive power by the President of the Republic, who is elected every four years by direct vote can not be elected for the next constitutional period.

Can you imagine the US Congress (or executive order by the US President) repealing the 22nd Amendment (i.e., two term only Presidents) in the US Constitution:

Section 1.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

This isn’t the first that we’ve written about the 22nd Amendment here at WOBIK.  Readers may also want to review our report from May 27, 2013:

If Barack Obama were a natural born citizen it appears that the US Constitution would permit Barack Obama to serve a third (3rd) term as US President

Obama’s Labor Day (2015) executive order (paid sick leave)

According to businessinsider.com Obama will be signing an executive order today which covers paid leave for employees working under federal contracts.

It appears that employees will receive one (1) hour of paid leave for every thirty (30) hours that they work. The paid leave can also be used to care for sick family members.

This executive order will cover federal contracts which start in (and after) 2017.

I myself am all for paid leave.  Happy Labor Day 2015!
