Americans pay $200 billion annually in illegal immigration costs

Last week, more than 1,000 immigrants surged through the U.S. southern border near El Paso, Texas — the largest number ever encountered by U.S. Border Control and Protection, with the previous record being set in the month of April, which was 424.

This unprecedented invasion spurred President Donald J. Trump to slap a 5 percent tariff on goods from Mexico in an effort to get the Mexican government to take seriously the problem of undocumented immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

The mainstream media, predictably, started lamenting on how the price of avocados for American consumers may potentially increase a few cents, and completely ignored the $200 billion American taxpayers pay each year in illegal immigration costs. Not to mention the cost of illegal drugs on our youth, and the cost to education and health care on American taxpayers.

Dichotomy wrapped in a paradox.

We’ve become a dichotomy wrapped in a paradox – a contradiction wrapped in absurdity.  Our government is dysfunctional.  The great ideals on which our nation was founded starkly contrasts with what we see every day.  We’ve been taught that there exist contrasting views between the pachyderms and jackasses.  On rare occasion there is, but mostly on display is the absolute absurdity of the Washington establishment – the career politicians made wealthy by bribes and insider trading.   They are so beholden to outside influences they have no time to attend to the business of Americans.  They keep blabbering about saving our democracy.  It’s something we don’t even have.  Don’t let them fool you.  If we were a true democracy questions like abortion and homosexual marriage would be put on the ballot for the voice of the people and not forced upon us by the 9 rulers of the earth.  That’s why we are a republic, so every voice supposedly has a chance to be heard even if no one else likes it.

Exceptional Nation?

The United States of America.  The world’s one exceptional nation founded on the principle of individual liberty.  A Constitutional Republic.  A government of the people, by the people, and for the people.  I don’t know how to phonetically present a Bronx cheer, so mentally add one here.  Our Constitution is in tatters.  The people do not know what’s in it.  Legislators ignore it.  And the courts pretend it means whatever they want it to mean.  A fine for not buying government insurance becomes a tax.  Killing unborn children is a right that outweighs life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  Sanctity of life?   Government by the people?  Oh, say can you see?

The Swamp.

I am sickened by the politics of Babylon on the Potomac.  Especially their new legal standard where one must be exonerated by a two-year 35-million-dollar anal probe.  Guilty until he or she can prove themselves innocent.  Is this the new American way?  These miscreants are either insane or truly believe the general public is gullible?  Gullible enough or brain washed enough to traipse behind them down a road that ends freedom.  Yes.  Ends it.  Ends America as she was conceived.  Fundamentally and forever transformed.  It isn’t just politicians and their paid political hacks doing damage to freedom.  It’s also the humongous media megaphone that feeds their tripe daily into the heads of millions of Americans and keeps it spinning around in there in dizzying perpetuity.  Even Fox News is beginning to show true colors.

The Occupation Will Be Televised

Over the past decade, a new and virulently illiberal progressive movement has taken shape in the United States. Centered around identity politics, control and censorship of speech, and proposed government takeovers of much of the economy, today’s New Progressive now sounds and looks almost identical to the radical fringe elements of leftism as recently as the late 1990s. Although the actual number of these New Progressives may be small, the movement has broad and approving reach in the media, and has become a disproportionally large part of the national political debate.

For conservatives it is essential to understand the origins and nature of this new progressivism. Although the cultural, economic, and political ideas that undergird this movement can be traced back to at the least the late 1960s and the emergence of European postmodern philosophy, in the American context, the most useful starting point for understanding what is happening today is Occupy Wall Street (OWS).

Occupy brought together three ideas for the first time that were formerly on the fringe. First is the idea that group identity bestows differing rights and obligations on individuals, rather than individuals all having equal rights and obligations. Second, OWS created the concept of a battle between the 99 percent and the 1 percent, which replaced a more nuanced approach on the left to how wealth is distributed. Finally, it offered a deep distrust of and desire to silence corporate entities that OWS claimed are not persons and therefore essentially have no rights.

In a December broadcast, Gallups, who has been close to the birth certificate investigation for years, contended there is a connection between the birth certificate investigation and the “Deep State” which many Americans believe attempted to prevent Trump from becoming president.  Gallups said on Friday’s show that in his view, “Deep State” operatives are determined to remove Donald Trump from office because of the existential threat he poses in exposing their wrongdoing.

By the time Obama left office, there were at least eight living things named after him, according to Science . None of them were particularly warm and fuzzy; instead, the list includes a type of lichen, three species of fish, a spider, a bird, and two — yes, two — parasites.

Thomas Platt, the now-retired biologist who discovered one of those parasites, the Baracktrema obamai species that lives in the blood of some Malaysian turtles, told the Associated Press that he meant the tribute as a compliment rather than an insult.

“It’s long. It’s thin. And it’s cool as hell,” Platt said, calling the Baracktrema obamai “phenomenally incredibly resilient organisms.”
