Last Wednesday the intelligence community launched its first attack on Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into its illegal acts and abuses of power during the 2016 election. In a New York Times article entitled “Justice Department Seeks to Question CIA in its Own Russia Investigation,” the IC makes clear its fear of the results of Barr’s investigation of their spy operation on candidate Trump in 2016 that continued through his early presidency.

The article, obviously written at the behest of its intelligence community sources — “current and former American officials” — is the first of many concerted attacks on Attorney General William Barr’s investigation of the joint CIA/FBI spy operation. Many other articles, based on carefully crafted leaks to the media and Congress, are sure to follow because current and former high-ranking officials of those agencies (and probably the NSA as well) have a lot to lose.

John Durham, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, is running the investigation under Barr’s direction. From the Times report, we can easily deduce the fact that those who ran the spy op — including CIA Director Gina Haspel — are running scared from the Durham investigation.

Since I began hearing and understanding American females, the subject they most often discussed has been their rights.  When I began studying the United States Constitution it was easy to understand it was for all people.  In our republic turned mob rule democracy, females and other special interest groups seemingly enjoy more liberties than real men could ever dream of.  Over time I grew suspicious of the real reasons for the unending bashing of men, while demanding more so-called freedoms.  It reminds me of how many leftists oriented black Americans carry on the same way.  They constantly complain to high heaven about racists behind every doorknob and how they are victims.  Yet they rarely, if ever support policies or principles that would liberate them in every way. Because they cannot accept personal responsibility for their actions and lives.

Many women, blacks and other special interest groups have been indoctrinated into rejecting a high moral character and intellectual development.  Thus, they end up being useful idiots in the Saul Alynski inspired mission to literally destroy America the beautiful from within.  During the 2019 State of the Union Address most of the leftist democrat House members were dressed in white.  After a bit of research I happened upon a picture of a group called the League of Nazi Socialist women who supported Hitler’s dream of a socialist paradise.  They always went to public events dressed in white.   If one takes an honest look at most of the female democrat party office holders it is easy to pinpoint how adrift they are from hopeful optimism.

Political leftists dropped to the ground yesterday while experiencing eye-bugging, spit-foaming, limb-wrenching paroxysms of pure joy. This was not because they had been drinking from a mini-bar in the Dominican Republic (unfortunately), but rather because they thought that Donald Trump had finally been caught admitting that he’s a collusion-loving, election-stealing traitor beholden to foreign powers.

As always, they couldn’t possibly have gotten the story more wrong, but that didn’t stop all of the usual Fake News outlets from reporting a non-event as if it were the crime of the century (typical headline: “Every Member of Team Trump Now Enabling Treason“).

Conservative intellectuals in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere are gathering to discuss where conservatism stands in the Age of Trump and where it will be after he leaves office. As those deliberations evolve and spill into Republican Party affairs, the leaders better keep one thing in mind: conservatism, now and then, has to be fun, and sometimes funny, too.

William F. Buckley, Jr., made it fun 54 years ago in a free-wheeling run for the mayoralty of New York, his wit dispelling the despair conservatives felt after Barry Goldwater was thrashed by Lyndon Johnson  in 1964. (Buckley titled his platform statement, “Mayor, Anyone?”). Ronald Reagan certainly made people laugh, often at his opponents’ expense: “Republicans celebrate the Fourth of July; Democrats celebrate April 15th.” Laughter helped Arnold Schwarzenegger win California (“Don’t be economic girly-men!”) and, of course, Donald Trump the White House, including jokes about himself (“I never had alcohol, for whatever reason. Can you imagine if I had? What a mess I would be. I would be the worst.”).

They know how important comedy is to public opinion, and they remember that many people preferred George W. Bush to the wooden Al Gore because he’s the one they’d have liked to join for a beer. Besides, they believe, comedy rightly belongs to the Left, from Lenny Bruce and “Laugh-In” to “The Daily Show” and Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin. If conservatives cultivate their own comedians and audiences enjoy them, 2020 and beyond looks less dim than it did last November after the midterms. Democrats have to stop them: there is no such a thing as conservative humor!
