Let me start with three inconvenient observations, based on dozens of conversations around Washington over the past year:

First, people who go into the White House to have a meeting with President Trump usually leave pleasantly surprised. They find that Trump is not the raving madman they expected from his tweetstorms or the media coverage. They generally say that he is affable, if repetitive. He runs a normal, good meeting and seems well-informed enough to get by.

Second, people who work in the Trump administration have wildly divergent views about their boss. Some think he is a deranged child, as Michael Wolff reported. But some think he is merely a distraction they can work around. Some think he is strange, but not impossible. Some genuinely admire Trump. Many filter out his crazy stuff and pretend it doesn’t exist.

My impression is that the Trump administration is an unhappy place to work, because there is a lot of infighting and often no direction from the top. But this is not an administration full of people itching to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Third, the White House is getting more professional. Imagine if Trump didn’t tweet. The craziness of the past weeks would be out of the way, and we’d see a White House that is briskly pursuing its goals: the shift in our Pakistan policy, the shift in our offshore drilling policy, the fruition of our ISIS policy, the nomination for judgeships and the formation of policies on infrastructure, DACA, North Korea and trade.

Venezuela, a once wealthy nation with black gold coming out of the ground, is a test case.

The socialist regime ran out of other people’s money, and then out of money, years ago. The government met protests by its starving population with a 40% minimum wage hike. That’s the usual socialist solution to what leftists call ‘income inequality’. The problem is that 40% of nothing is still zero.

The “Strong Bolivar” introduced by former dictator Hugo Chavez, who died of an overdose of Cuba’s socialist medicine, leads the world in one economic category: a 3,000% inflation rate. Currently a dollar will buy you 111,413.23 bolivars. Wait a while and there will be a better bargain in bolivars because economists are forecasting a 30,000% inflation rate. In Venezuela, even the poorest American can become a millionaire in bolivars. The only question is why would anyone actually want bolivars?

The socialist currency of the revolution isn’t counted, it’s weighed on scales. The only thing “strong” about the bolivar is the exercise you get from carrying bags of them everywhere. You could forge bolivars, but the fake money would cost you more than the real money. If you can actually print bolivars, go ahead and get in touch with the Venezuelan government which can’t afford to print its own money.

On December 29 with Gallups, Zullo opined that Trump may be preparing to have his Justice Department investigate issues involving corruption which it now appears the Obama administration could have purposely overlooked or obscured. As of this writing, the DOJ has just announced that an investigation into the Clinton Foundation is under way.

After one Obama sycophant made the claim that Zullo was never a detective, The Post & Email brought the comment and several others to his attention for his response, which he prefaced by stating that he had not seen them previously and does not spend time reading comments on message boards.

These are the same tactics this coordinated group of disinformation operatives have been employing over the years, most of whom have never revealed their true identities or qualifications, trying to defend the indefensible.

I encountered them early on in this investigation and made a public offer to them: To anyone having creditable information that would clear the document, simply identify yourself, your qualifications and provide a sworn affidavit including your identity, qualifications, finding and methodology and I would fly you to Phoenix at our expense and sit down with you and you can prove your point. Not one of them took me up on the offer. Not one. Telling! From that point on I paid no mind to these people. They should have jumped at the chance.

There is an old expression, “a fish rots from the head down,” meaning that in any organization, leadership sets the tone.  For better or for worse.  Where does the DOJ-FBI rot begin?

The Trump-Russia collusion investigation is on life support.  After months of investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his army of highly partisan investigators, spending millions of taxpayer dollars, all Mueller has to show for his efforts is a handful of process crimes that have nothing to do with the original allegations that the Trump campaign worked with Putin to influence the 2016 election.

With 90 percent of media coverage negative toward President Trump, you can be certain that if Trump conspired with Russia to hack the election, these same media would have long ago found evidence of collusion.  But they haven’t, have they?  Instead, they hyperventilate over nonsense, such as a truck blocking their view of Trump’s golf course, now a three-day story for CNN.

In reality, the only collusion was a bunch of Obama imbeds, scheming and conspiring to drag their coughing and collapsing candidate across the finish line by interfering with the right of Americans to choose their next president.  Then there was a bogus dossier, created as opposition research, used by the FBI and DOJ as a “national security matter” to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on candidate Trump and his family and associates.

The conspiracy was legion, with many agency heads and upper managers working together to undermine an election.  After failing to undermine the election, they then concocted the collusion story to justify a special counsel, staffed with the same Obama administration imbeds, to cover their illegal tracks.  Gateway Pundit compiled a long list of bad actors and actresses participating in this melodrama.
