This is the decade America’s common culture died. Cultural taste, affinity, and identity is shattered into a thousand distinct shards. This “tribalization” has become an obsession among social elites, whose economic model for maintaining their global dominance has been thrown into doubt. But only now are the fuller consequences of the rise of the multiculture rearing their ugly heads. As manufactured mainstream fare fades, Americans are right to begin to wonder whether any popular culture as we know it, a vibrant social sphere full of entertainers and highly engaged audiences, is going to replace what is lost. The same digital technology that empowered us to consume what we wanted, when we wanted it, is now sharply discouraging us from producing what we want, even at times and places of our choosing.

The world of digital entertainment and social media is increasingly suppressing both popular culture and elite culture, each of which depends on giving people incentives to pour their lives into art, media, music, film, and the news of the day. Whether it’s injecting creative works into the market, opinions into the maelstrom of the online discourse, or corrective lectures into raging debates, the potential payoff for all these sorts of activities is plummeting.

The culprit is not simply digital tech’s propensity to glut markets until demand collapses. In our era when just about anyone can write, record, produce, and release a single, a movie, a podcast, or a video show, the barriers to entry are so low that the market space has filled to the brim with content that’s almost totally inessential to nearly all would-be consumers.

I think that President Trump is going after what the Left calls “root causes” in their typical grab for money to redistribute, purportedly to eliminate some social problem they blame on poverty. But Trump is not seeking a nebulous version of Ultimate Social Justice, he focused on the real obstacles to immigration reform, and I think he has a specific goal in mind as he threatens a complete border closure.

Simply stated, at home, Trump wants big business, as embodied in the US Chamber of Commerce, to grasp that he will not allow them to continue stonewall on open borders, targeting their donations to prevent any legal reform. Ever since NAFTA, huge investments have taken place predicted on the free movement of good across the border. Those investments are now held hostage by Trump’s threat. The implicit deal: either loudly and emphatically lobby for a simple revision to immigration law to allow asylum claimants to wait on the southern side of the border while their claims are adjudicated or endure a semi-catastrophic disruption.

What do we know now?  We know that they – OBAMA, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Strozk, Page, and the rest of their chosen cohorts at the FBI, CIA, & DOJ – colluded to destroy Trump by any means necessary.  They employed every means they had at their disposal, no matter how unconstitutional, illegal, immoral or venal. – (bold and caps emphasis added)

In shockingly Orwellian fashion, Democrats in Minnesota want to create a statewide “Task Force on Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism” that would be stacked with people devoted to Islamic doctrines calling for more anti-Semitism.

Taken in light of other recent developments in Minnesota, all signs point to a coming crackdown on free speech, say conservatives in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

“It’s putting the wolves in the henhouse,” said Minneapolis resident Debra Anderson. “It’s very scary what they are trying to do. They want to stop, want to intimidate the remnant of patriots we have in Minnesota.”

The task force, if approved by the legislature, would be chaired by Muslim Attorney General Keith Ellison or someone appointed by Ellison.

The bill was introduced on March 18, three days after the attack that tragically killed 50 people at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, leading some to conclude that Ellison and other Democrats are seeking to capitalize on the global sympathy for Muslims created by the 24/7 media coverage of that attack.

Michele Bachmann, a former member of Congress and prominent Minnesota conservative, said she has no doubt in her mind that, if approved, the task force will recommend draconian measures to crack down on so-called “hate speech” in her state.

Thomas, however, realizes that according to natural law principles, abortion is a violation of the natural right to life that is expressly protected by the Constitution. In the face of Thomas’ argument, Pulliam collapses: natural law—“whatever that is.” Is it really so difficult!

When John Adams wrote the Massachusetts Bill of Rights in 1780 he gave the same, albeit more detailed, account of compact. Individuals form the social compact, not states. When Madison later said that “all free and just government is based on compact” he said the compact is made by the unanimous consent of individuals, not states.

A few days after the 76-year old Joe Biden  gave a speech blaming a “white man’s culture” for the sexual assault of women, and his “regrettable” treatment of Anita Hill during the 1991 harassment hearings, a female “victim” came forward alleging Biden  inappropriately touched and kissed her.

Lucy Flores was a 35-year-old Democrat candidate for lieutenant governor in Nevada in 2014. She admits she was ‘flattered” when Biden offered to attend a campaign rally in Las Vegas to boost voter turnout. In her account of the incident,  Flores wrote she was  minding her own business on the side of the stage waiting to be introduced when Biden came from behind.

He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself,… And also, what in the actual fuck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening….” I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience.

… I had never experienced anything so blatantly inappropriate and unnerving before. The vice-president of the United States of America had just touched me in an intimate way reserved for close friends, family, or romantic partners — and I felt powerless to do anything about it.
