Official Report from the Kenya Parliament (National Assembly) for March 25, 2010. James Orengo.

I’m publishing the following again (I didn’t have my own blog in 2010) for the following reasons:

1.  To make the Kenya National Assemby Official Report easier for anyone, including readers of the WOBIK blog, to locate online.

2.  To prove, again, that it does exist (some individuals, e.g., Dr. Conspiracy, prefer to pretend that it doesn’t) and to provide access to the original, true and correct text which Dr. Conspiracy has conveniently not supplied his readers with.

3.   Dr Conspiracy recently made a oblique and deceptively-worded statement, specifically that “..there are a couple of quotations from Kenyan politicians that say, or might be understood to say, that President Obama was born in Kenya. I ask: how do they know? They were not speaking about where Obama was born, but about something else, using Obama just as an example. They weren’t authoritative statements on the subject of the President’s birthplace. Have you never heard a US politician make a glaring mistake, shoot from the hip, run off their mouth with their brain not engaged? If the Kenyan politicians don’t give a source, then don’t know any more than anyone else.”

4.  To provide the original Kenyan Government links (although they are no longer functional).

On April 11, 2010 I, Lucas D. Smith, downloaded (from the following links two links) the document which is embedded at the foot of this blog report.

James Orengo, the Minster of Lands and Member of Kenyan Parliament stated, on the floor of the Kenya Parliament, that US President Barack Obama was born in Kenya.  Moreover, at no point after his statement did any other member of the Kenya Parliament attempt to correct Mr. Orengo.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OFFICIAL REPORT Thursday, 25th March, 2010, page 31:

“If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation, how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America?”

I (InspectorSmith) started the following thread at FreeRepublic.com on April 11, 2010:

Kenya Parliament (National Assembly, James Orengo) admits that President Barack Obama born in Kenya.

About one year later, on April 27, 2011 I also uploaded the Official Report from the Kenya Parliament (National Assembly) for March 25, 2010 to my scribd.com account (Patriot1980):

@Blog Report – Lucas Daniel Smith:

James Orengo, the Minster of Lands and Member of Kenyan Parliament stated, on the floor of the Kenya Parliament, that US President Barack Obama was born in Kenya. Moreover, at no point after his statement did any other member of the Kenya Parliament attempt to correct Mr. Orengo.

I have always considered the above referenced 3/25/2010 statement by James Orengo to be:

    — EXTREMELY IMPORTANT because of its very clear language and its total refutation of the false Hawaiian birth scenario claimed by BHO-II

    — Simultaneously, VERY PUZZLING as to its real purpose! That is, WHY did Orengo make the damning public statement about Obama’s true birthplace in Kenya. The revelation of this closely guarded ‘secret’ would normally be considered a major embarrassment by Obama’s friend, Odinga.

I apologize for the rather disorganized, rambling course taken by the remainder of this post. I have almost zero understanding of Kenyan politics. One of the few things I do know, however, is that tribal membership of the individuals involved plays quite a large part in the proceedings.

Raila Odinga (current Kenyan Prime Minister), James Orengo (current Minister of Lands), and Barack Obama, Sr (BHO-II’s deceased Kenyan father) all belong to the Luo Tribe. BHO-II’s sympathies definitely lie with Luo tribe members.

Mwai Kibaki (current Kenyan President) belongs to the Kikuyu tribe.

It is generally accepted that Orengo is normally quite supportive of fellow tribe member Odinga (and presumably Obama as well). Why would Orengo have wished to embarrass either or both of them by making such an obviously provocative statement in a open meeting of Parliament in March 2010?

(Author, Miguna Miguna) accuses Mr Orengo of being a “lyrical sycophant in the king’s court”, Prof Nyong’o and Mr Orengo are jointly described as “timid, cowardly and hypocritical”

Perhaps Orengo was simply going through a period during which he was unhappy with the performance of Odinga or Obama.

Perhaps Odinga himself was unhappy about Obama’s deficiencies regarding his support for Kenya and so personally authorized Orengo to make the statement as a ‘warning’ to Obama.

I suspect we will never learn the true reason for Orengo’s provocative statement regarding Obama’s true birthplace being recorded in the official minutes of the Kenyan Parliament on March 25, 2010.

    Video: Orengo, Uhuru Wikileaks

Two close allies of president kibaki and prime minister raila odinga are reported to have made harsh assessments of their abilities as leaders. According to diplomatic cables leaked on the wikileaks website, uhuru kenyatta and james orengo criticised kibaki and raila separately to us diplomats. Uhuru told envoys in 2006 that kibaki squandered the opportunity to unite the country after the 2002 elections. In june last year, orengo said raila was not doing his best on the reform agenda. – (Bold emphasis added. NOTE THAT ORENGO MADE THIS STATEMENT IN JUNE 2010, ONLY ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER HE MADE HIS STATEMENT IN PARLIAMENT ABOUT BHO-II BEING BORN IN KENYA.)

Video: Obama’s Message to Kibaki, Raila

It is emerging the Obama administration is uncomfortable with ICC suspects Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto vying for the presidency as long as they remain ICC suspects. U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton reportedly told President Kibaki during their meeting at State House yesterday that if Kenyatta or Ruto, whose trials at the ICC are due to open next April be elected president, then this would complicate the relationship between Kenya and the International community.

  2. Bruce says:

I think the TRUTH of Mr. Orengo’s 3/25/2010 statement before Parliament regarding FELLOW KENYAN, Barack Hussein Obama II, fully EXPLAINS why election news from Kenya is now judged to be worthy of large/headline/front-page/top/center/photo coverage in the 3/5/2013 print edition of the Wall Street Journal.

The front page post is then followed up with a major article on page A11, which includes a very large picture spanning portions covering the top parts of pages A10 and A11.
