The Thriller Series (PN-4): The first airlift (September 1959) of Kenyan students (81 students, 79 of them Kenyan) to the United States not recorded in the Annual Report of the US Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Kenya Airlift 1959 airliftees Tom Mboya Tom Shachtman ObamaApproximately one month after Barack Obama, Sr. left Kenya Colony for the United States of America the first of Tom Mboya’s aiflifts departed from Kenya with 81 East African students

Of the 81 students 79 of them were Kenyan, one was from Uganda and the another was from Tanganyika (now known as Tanzania).

In September of 1959 the 81 airliftees, and Tom Mboya himself, boarded an airplane at Embakasi Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.

All 81 of the East African students can be seen in the adjacent photograph.

There is also a photograph which was taken in September 1959 at the Embakasi Airport in Nairobi, Kenya which shows Tom Mboya welcoming the 1959 airliftees aboard in the airplane:
Kenya Airlift 1959 airliftees Tom Mboya Tom Shachtman Obama airport Embakasi NairobiThey arrived at the Idlewild Airport (now known as John F. Kennedy) in New York on the 10th or 11th day of September 1959.

NOTE: Obama, Sr. was NOT an airliftee and he financed his own tickets probably with some help from Elizabeth Mooney (from Maryland) and Helen Roberts (from California) who were in Mombasa, Kenya Protectorate in the year 1959.  Obama, Sr. departed Kenya and arrived in Kenya approximately one month before the first airlift.

We can add these 81 students, and Tom Mboya himself, to the list of those who were not recorded in the United States Department of Justice Annual Report (1960) of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).

The said report indicates that, from June 30th 1959 thru June 30th 1960, there were zero (0) aliens (non-US citizen) who traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States. Moreover, the report indicates that there were also zero (0) US citizens who traveled from Kenya to the United States. Supposedly, no one at all traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States.

Conclusion:

Evidently the USDJ Annual Report for the INS are flawed, inaccurate and unreliable.

The annual report from 1962 cannot be used as evidence to rule out the possibility of the following individuals traveling (by air) from Kenya to the United States in August 1961:

1.  Stanley Ann Dunham

2.  Barack Obama, II

3.  Barack Obama, Sr.

Please also see the following WOBIK reports which cite data and statistics provided by the British government regarding traveled to and from Kenya and East Africa for the years 1959, 1960 and 1961:

    WOW!

This further strengthens the case that the USDJ Annual Reports for the INS are SERIOUSLY FLAWED, INACCURATE AND UNRELIABLE.

ps. My views regarding Ann Dunham’s travel in 1961 from Hawaii to Kenya and then back to Seattle, after giving birth to BHO-II at the CPGH in Mombasa, are summarized in the following two posts on the ‘InspectorSmith Forum’:

  2. This photograph shows the Kenyan students arriving at Idlewild Airport in New York in September 1959 as participants in the first African Airlift.

Looks like same aircraft that they all boarded in Nairobi, Kenya.

Again, it looks like the same airplane that landed in New York:

I think I get it now. You’re a performance artist, and this is all some piece.

  7. Langolier says:

Lucas, I’m not intent on digging through your new claims, until the old ones are settled.
