Summer is officially upon us and the senior citizens of the Covert Group are still in custody.

At this point I feel, to a degree, like I might be the only person in the consolidated world (other than: the USDOJ, family members & friends of the Covert Group, and Joseph Harold Sims Jr‏ the pedophile informant) who has even a remote interest in keeping tabs on the Covert Group.

My previously published reports (four reports) covering the Covert Group are linked here:

11.24.2011 United States of America vs Frederick W. Thomas, Emory Dan Roberts, Samuel J. Crump and Ray H. Adams.

11.28.2011 – The “Covert Group” – 11.21.2011 Detention Order.

12.04.2011 – The Sunday Update. The “Covert Group” and the rapper “T.I.” (Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr).

04.19.2012 – “Treachery: Lucas D. Smith passes polygraph test. Pedophile FBI informant Joe Sims fails polygraph test.”

As you may know from the last report both Frederick W. Thomas and Emory Dan Roberts have already plead guilty and both remain in custody as they await sentencing.   Samuel J. Crump and Ray H. Adams await their trial(s) and their next court date, Pretrial Conference, is scheduled for Wednesday the 11th day of July 2012 at 11:00 AM.

I recently pulled five court filings from PACER regarding the Covert Group and have uploaded the said filings to my Patriot1980 scribd.com account and have embedded the same below for readers with an interest in keepings tabs on the fate of the Covert Group.

Two in Ricin Terrorism Plot Are Each Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

    The New York Times
    Alan Blindernov
    11/14/2014

    Excerpt:

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Ending a case that involved questions about the line between rhetoric and criminal conduct, a judge on Friday sentenced two men to a decade each in prison for their roles in a plot that included using ricin in a series of attacks in major cities.

The decision by Judge Richard W. Story, of the Federal District Court, came nearly 10 months after a jury here convicted Samuel J. Crump and Ray H. Adams on a pair of charges connected to possession of ricin for use as a weapon. Mr. Crump, 71, and Mr. Adams, 58, could have been sentenced to life imprisonment; prosecutors had asked that the men be ordered to spend 20 years in prison.

“This is not some laughing old guys talking kind of thing,” Judge Story said. “We’re talking about conduct that could have hurt innocent people if you had been able to carry it out.”

In a statement, the United States attorney, Sally Quillian Yates, said: “Both the words and actions of these defendants supported an idea dangerous to our democracy — that violence is justifiable when citizens grow frustrated with government.”

Mr. Adams and Mr. Crump were arrested, along with two other men, in November 2011 after the federal authorities accused them of participating in a sweeping antigovernment plot that included a plan to disperse ricin simultaneously in five American cities, tentatively Atlanta; Jacksonville, Fla.; Newark; New Orleans; and Washington.

Investigators said that Mr. Adams had kept castor beans, which are used to manufacture ricin, in a storage container at his Toccoa, Ga., home, and that Mr. Crump had provided one to an undercover informant.

The informant, who was facing prosecution on unrelated charges when he first contacted the authorities, recorded conversations that included details of the men’s plans. The other men who were charged, Frederick Thomas and Dan Roberts, pleaded guilty in 2012 and were sentenced to prison terms of five years each.

But on Friday, Mr. Adams and Mr. Crump, who wore yellow prison jumpsuits in the courtroom, both denied that they had intended to follow through on their conversations.

“I would not have hurt anyone,” Mr. Adams said, adding, “I get angry at the government sometimes, but no more than anyone else.”

Mr. Crump was more defiant. He asked Judge Story for a new trial and repeatedly complained that prosecutors had relied on an informant he deemed unsavory. But he also disputed the seriousness of the plans he discussed.

  2. @ Bruce:

Thanks for posting this. I saw the story yesterday but I procrastinated and planned on making a comment today.

I have so much to say about this case, and I’ve said a lot in the past about, and it just upsets me even more now to read that these two (of the four) have now received a decade each in prison.

Some readers might not have a problem with it (you might even advocate it) but just wait until one day the federal government knocks on your door (or a daughter’s door or a mother’s door) for (1) crimes that aren’t really crimes, (2) or crimes that would have been absolutely impossible to have been carried out, (3)or crimes in which there was really no way for an ordinary citizen to know that they were committing a crime in the first place.

Happens all the time in the federal system. No one seems to care until it hits close to home.

Dr Benjamin Carson on Gay Marriage

  4. @ Bruce:

It’s just that I believe that there are much more important things to accomplish than worrying about gay marriage and abortion. I hear people all the time talking about gay marriage and abortion.

I understand (to a certain degree) about the definition of marriage and no I don’t really like imagining a fetus being aborted.

However, in my opinion, there are much more significant things to accomplish and work on. It seems sometimes that Americans are stuck on the small (small in a way) stuff.

There are towns in Germany which produce more wind and solar power than they can use? It’s been reported that one town there is 321% efficient, and that another town is 5000% efficient.

German Village (Wildpoldsried) Produces 321% More Energy Than It Needs!

    5000% RENEWABLE TOWN (Kronprinzenkoog, Germany)

PS- Not that I want the government to mandate that citizens must go solar and wind (or anything else, including electricity produced from coal).

These solar and wind powered towns are just examples that there are much more important things to be working on than legislating what a woman can do and cannot do with her body and why a woman can’t marry a woman.

  5. THE TURKEY’S TAIL

I’ve also noticed (for a number of years now) that many Americans (from all social classes) tend to shoot down good ideas. Most of them cite stuff they’ve heard someone else tell them or some US Gov or State gov or local Gov regulation or reasoning why the good idea would never work or why it’s to dangerous or why its not a wise financial move.

You ever heard the anecdote about the woman cooking the turkey?

She always cuts the turkey’s tail off before she places the turkey in a pan to cook it.

When asked why she always cuts the turkey’s tail off she says something like this:

“You’ve got to, you can’t eat the tail.”

When asked how she knows this she says something like this:

“That’s the way my grandmother always did it.”

Turns outs (after a bit of research) that the ONLY reason that her grandmother cut the turkey’s tail off was because she didn’t have a big enough pan to fit the turkey in!

Have you ever eaten turkey tail:

… I believe that there are much more important things to accomplish than worrying about gay marriage and abortion. I hear people all the time talking about gay marriage and abortion.

You make a good point. Establishing the appropriate perspective on significant issues of any type is important. It’s just that people are so different in their concerns and there are so many different perspectives to choose from.

The issues of gay marriage and abortion ARE very important to many people and they have concentrated their thought processes and, in many cases, much time and effort in fighting for what they believe is right in these areas. That’s fine with me.

The issues of gay marriage and abortion are basically quite simple and easy to focus upon, IMO.

I have chosen to focus virtually my entire attention and available resources since the summer of 2009 on fighting the fraudulent activities of BHO-II because I believe it is now THE ISSUE OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO THIS COUNTRY AND THE WORLD. This is an EXTREMELY COMPLEX and difficult issue, with lots of wealthy and powerful adversaries. The ABSOLUTE BEST tool I have to fight the Obama forces is the AUTHENTIC ‘Lucas Daniel Smith, Obama Kenyan Birth Certificate’ (Thank you very much for obtaining it directly from the Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa on February 19, 2009!)

Prior to that, I spent much time and effort researching algae cultivation as a possible future energy source and also working with T. Boone Pickens’ group in attempting to switch large portions of this country from natural gas over to Wind Power for electricity generation. This would have allowed natural gas to be used as a replacement for oil for major transportation uses.

Wind Power for electricity generation turned out to be unfeasible economically in the U.S.A. for reasons explained in the following video, but the use of natural gas as a transportation fuel for truck fleets STILL makes a lot of sense to me.

    T. Boone Pickens

  7. @ Bruce:

Bruce, regarding natural gas. Something that you might be interested in knowing (if you don’t already) is that a lot of the cars in the Dominican Republic operate on natural gas Propane.

There are ‘gas stations’ which at the pumps they dispense natural gas Propane. You pull your car up, pop the trunk, and fill your tank with natural gas Propane.

It also should be noted that this is nothing new in Dominican Republic. I first arrived in April, 2003 (more than 11 years ago) and cars were running on natural gas Propane back then.

  8. CORRECTION: In my comment above I think I made a small mistake. I believe that many gas stations in the Dominican Republic are selling Propane (not Natural Gas) at the pump.

However, Natural Gas and Propane are almost the same thing (I think) and come from, basically (to keep it simple) the same source. (Hey, at very least, you can use both these gases to cook Turkey Tails! lol)

In any event, a lot of cars and trucks are running on Propane in the Dominican Republic.

I will post pictures of these gas stations.

  9. Bruce says:

First, let me give our readers a little insight, from a chemist’s standpoint, regarding the FLAMMABILITY RISKS of Propane (usually a blend of largely Propane – C3H8, but also containing some Butane – C4H10) versus Natural Gas (largely Methane – CH4).

    Molecular Weights:
Air (largely Nitrogen + about 20% Oxygen): 29
    Pure Propane: 44
    Pure Methane: 16

Since Propane (LPG) has a much HIGHER MOLECULAR WEIGHT than Air, its vapors are MORE DENSE and it will collect in low areas and can produce a serious fire and explosion hazard in case of an accident.

Since Methane (in either CNG or LNG form) has a much LOWER MOLECULAR WEIGHT than Air, its vapors are LESS DENSE and will quickly dissipate in case of an accident. CNG and LNG are significantly safer to use than is LPG from a fire hazard standpoint.

    CNG Now:

LNG – Truck Fleets in Europe:

LNG – Truck Fleets in USA:

I believe what we will see here in the U.S.A. will be a gradual conversion of long-haul TRUCK FLEETS from Diesel to LNG, because of its greater ‘compression’ than CNG, and expanded use of of the less – ‘compressed’ CNG for local, urban traffic such as city buses, taxis, garbage trucks, school buses, and perhaps even some private cars eventually.

Natural Gas (CNG and LNG) is CHEAP, EASILY TRANSPORTED over long distances (in the ‘raw’ form using our current, nationwide, NATURAL GAS distribution system) and acceptably SAFE from a fire hazard standpoint.

  10. @ Bruce:

Thank you for the extremely helpful information regarding natural gas and propane.
