Kidney: A Memoir Written in Third-Person. By Lucas Daniel Smith. (Time to set the facts straight. Lucas Smith saved the lives of two men in critical need of kidneys.)

On display directly below is the Certificate of Appreciation issued to me in honor and recognition of the priceless gift of kidney donation. Certificate was issued by the hospital (in the United States of America) where the kidney transplant surgery was conducted.   The certificate (non-redacted), as well as two chapters (non-redacted) from my unpublished book Kidney: A Memoir Written in Third-Person, are now for up auction at eBay listing 140668868245 which can be accessed here.
Kidney: A Memoir Written in Third-Person. Written by Lucas Daniel Smith.

Jim Wilson, Jr. received a kidney from Cedar Rapids, Iowa native Diane Langton in the year 2004.  Diane got involved with the Wilsons in 2003 after reading about a young man, me Lucas, whose hometown was also Cedar Rapids.

Diane was taken in by the Wilson family’s slanderous and double-crossing untrue claims of having been strung along with assurance of a free and donative kidney by me, Lucas, for approximately five months before abruptly asking to be financially compensated with $600 US dollars.  (A tale that not even the police, FBI and federal prosecutors were willing to believe).

After reading several 2003 editions of The Gazette newspaper which covered the kidney fiasco Diana was motivated to counter the shame she felt had fallen on her hometown of Cedar Rapids.  She stated that, “Lucas Smith is an enigma to me.  I just know he devastated a good family for no really good reason.  I love my city [Cedar Rapids].  I was born here and raised here, as my husband, as were my children.  It bothers me that something so reprehensible would be associated with my home.”

For the record: Jim Wilson, Sr. and I (Lucas) entered into a financial arrangement from the outset.  It was Jim Wilson, Sr. who proved incapable of keeping his end of the bargain, not me.

At any rate, Jim Wilson, Jr. died in January of the year 2008, nearly four years after having taken physical receipt of life-saving kidney from Diane Langton.  He died of heart failure and NOT kidney failure.   Read more regarding his unfortunate death at the New York Syracuse.com article, Good morning, Oswego County: 01/16/2008.

For the record:  Everyone, aside from the organ donor, is allowed to make a profit from organ donations.  The organ banks are paid, the doctors & all of their  assistants collect a fee and are paid for their services.   The organ recipient benefits more than probably everyone for they now have a new lease on life.  But it is a crime to give money to the donor.   Since donors are not paid, most all potential donors (everyone one in the world) keep their organs (kidneys included) to themselves.   Thousands of US citizens die each years as they wait for their number to be called on the kidney transplant list.  It should also be noted that kidneys from living donors survive longer (in their new bodies), and function more effectively and efficiently (in their new bodies), than kidneys harvested from the recently deceased.

Below I have provided additional evidence that Jim Wilson, Jr. received a kidney from Diana Langton in the year 2004.  Five (5) scans of the March 7, 2004 Cedar Rapids newspaper, The Gazette, An Independent Newspaper In Iowa’s Technology Corridor:

Interesting! I have never thought of the organ-donor/transplant/recipient process in these very practical terms.

Thanks for telling us ‘the rest of the story’ and setting the record straight.

As most folks reading this blog know, the Obots have posted the ‘newpaper falsehoods and innuendos’ regarding your actions in this matter ad nauseam, with great glee, and at every opportunity!

So where did you disappear to in 2004? You haven’t totally “set the record straight” have you? You just rehashed what happened with me. And you missed half the story since you didn’t access the coverage in Syracuse, which is readily available online.
Seems a little self-serving to me. But isn’t that what you are all about?

  5. @ Diane Langton:

    Hello Mrs. Langton,

Its an honor to hear from you.

I think I’ve covered everything within the report. Perhaps you overlooked the embedded scribd.com document.

I’m not sure what else is missing. Please feel free to add anything you’d like in the comments section here. I promote free speech and I welcome and implore you to add anything to this report that you’d like too. I can even publish a supplemental report with any additional evidence that you can supply.

    Thank you.
