The President Who Knew Too Much: MAD’s ‘Privacy’ Issue Spoofs Obama

    Excerpt:

While he relied heavily on women, minority, and college-educated demographics in his 2008 and 2012 victories, President Barack Obama may need to worry that his surveillance policies are costing him the crucial twelve-year-old whoopie-cushion vote.

As part of their special “War On Privacy” issue, MAD Magazine’s cover next week will show Obama as a spy boss, decked out in a trenchcoat and top hat reminiscent on 60s and 70s espionage thrillers, and controlling MAD’s famous black and white spies.

No word yet on whether MAD’s editorial board will argue for a nuanced application of congressional oversight to the NSA surveillance programs, or a repeal of their expansive powers granted under the Patriot Act.
