The page is set up to record the names of past and present presidential candidates, including those who were (or presently are) only potential candidates, who may not have been (or presently be) eligible to be President of the United States of America.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to add a name to list please submit your request, along with at least some evidence, in the form of a comment (on that page). \u00a0After we review your comment we may add proposed name to the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

It will take some time for list of names to grow. We aren’t in a hurry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first name that we are going to add to the list is Lowell Palmer Weicker, Jr<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the above image (left click on it to enlarge for reading) of the March 13, 1979<\/strong> edition of the Palm Beach Post<\/span><\/em> newspaper we learn that\u00a0Lowell\u00a0Weicker had launched his presidential campaign the day before. \u00a0The paper described him as a liberal Republican [US] Senator\u00a0of Connecticut.<\/span><\/p>\n

What the newspaper doesn’t say is that Weicker was born (May 16, 1931) in Paris, France.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Lowell<\/a>Apparently his parents, Mary Hastings (n\u00e9e Bickford) and Lowell Palmer Weicker, were Americans (US citizens).<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m not certain what age he was when he first arrived in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

At any rate, and regardless of age at time of entry into the United States,\u00a0would he have\u00a0been eligible to be president of the United States?<\/span><\/p>\n

Some facts that we do know about him are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u00a0served in the Connecticut State House of Representatives from 1962 thru 1966. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives\u00a0(Connecticut – 4th district) from 1969 thru 1971.<\/span><\/p>\n

He served as a U.S. Senator\u00a0from Connecticut from 1971 thru 1989.\u00a0He served as Governor of Connecticut from 1991 thru 1995.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lowell Weicker, Jr. is currently 83 years of age.<\/span><\/p>\n
