Her father was Barack Obama, Sr. and her mother is Kezia Aoko Obama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Auma is the Managing Trustee of a Kenyan organization called Sauti Kuu which trains Kenyan youth on wealth creation within rural areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I hadn&#8217;t heard of the Sauti Kuu organization so I looked it up online and found the following helpful video which was filmed in Kenya with Dr. Auma. \u00a0The video is well made and is less than ten minutes in length. Some good footage of rural Kenya and relatively lush farm land. \u00a0It appears that Sauti Kuu partners with a Germany company known as REHAU. \u00a0(Dr. Auma is married to a German.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Its worth watching if you&#8217;d like to both see and hear what Sauti Kuu (and the German REHUA) does in Kenya. \u00a0 :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1GzdcvVLA3Y?rel=0\" height=\"360\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the Severin Hotel in Mombasa Dr. Auma Obama\u00a0told Americans and the rest of the world that Kenya is a safe place. \u00a0\u201c<\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At first I felt threatened when I came for holiday in Mombasa from Germany but after staying here for six days I felt safe.<\/span><\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dr. Auma also indicated that the majority of security incidents reported about Kenya are isolated and should not frighten away American and European tourists. <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWhat one reads or hears outside is totally different from what is on the ground. As far as I am concerned, Kenya is still the best tourist destination in the world,\u201d<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Auma said.<\/span> <em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAs a Kenyan who lives abroad <\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">[Auma Obama lives in Germany]<\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, I feel some of these incidents are overblown by international media because when I am here, I don\u2019t see what I read while I am in Germany.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She indicated that in her assessment, after having recently visited various places in Coast Province, Kenya is not a dangerous country. \u00a0She also added that there is abundant\u00a0security in Mombasa,<\/span>\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI have seen enough security personnel in the beaches I visited. I am surprised to see a different situation from media reports.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She indicated that her \u00a0Sauti Kuu organization\u00a0operates in Western region of Kenya and is imparting knowledge to the youth to learn skills on how to create wealth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She said that there is enough wealth in rural areas and that people need to discard the old belief that one can only become rich by moving to urban areas,<\/span>\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWestern parts of Kenya experiences good climate and has fertile soil which need to be tapped for better livelihoods.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She\u00a0indicated there was a lucrative market for Kenyan agricultural products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I agree with Auma in both regards:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>1<\/strong>. \u00a0 The danger in Kenya is overreported with overstated\u00a0emphasis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>2<\/strong>. \u00a0 Inhabitants of the urban slums in Kenya, who often own rural property, should consider leaving the city and returning to the countryside where they can learn how to create wealth with the land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I also want to note here that I see the same sort of thing in the Dominican Republic in that a large majority of the inhabitants of the urban slums either own property in the countryside or have the legal right to live on family land which is located in the countryside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As some readers may already know Auma Obama has written a book which was published in English in 2012: <\/span>\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And Then Life Happens: A Memoir.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The book was originally published in the German language.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you&#8217;d like to purchase her book please use the following link:\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00A17NQ94\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00A17NQ94&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=wobik-20&amp;linkId=ZY4T2BGQXVGRMAM3\">And Then Life Happens: A Memoir<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=wobik-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B00A17NQ94\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please exercise your free speech in the comments section below.
