Political Science 1972) published several erroneous\u00a0claims at a website called <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">World Net Daily<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> indicating that the city of Mombasa was\u00a0part\u00a0of Zanzibar until some time in the year 1964 when Kenya became a republic. \u00a0 Dr. Corsi indicated that hospital birth records in Mombasa, in the year 1961, would list Mombasa as being part of, or located in, Zanzibar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>[NOTE<\/strong>: \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dr. Corsi often edits his work after publication, sometimes a single article may be modified, on 3 or 4 different occasions, with significant edits after publication, and without any notification whatsoever of what changes have been made.<strong>]<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Other skeptics who didn&#8217;t agree with Dr. Corsi indicated themselves that while 1961-Mombasa was, indeed, located in Kenya that the name or title of the area where Mombasa is located was the Colony of Kenya, not the Protectorate of Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please take note of the above scan which I made of a\u00a0<strong>Mombasa, Kenya Protectorate <\/strong>letter card\u00a0with affixed Tanganyika Kenya Uganda 20 cent postage stamp which is postmarked 10 MY 44 (10th day of May, <strong>1944<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I have this 1944 postmarked letter card in my personal possession.\u00a0I&#8217;m the owner and the acquisition was made in\u00a0March 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Read more at:<\/span> \u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/barrack-obama-eligibility\/mombasa-kenya-protectorate-1944\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mombasa, Kenya Protectorate. 1944.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Example 3<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are many other examples which I&#8217;ve published in the past but the most recent example is an exceptional and first-rate one which we stumbled upon while reading about an American woman who is now living in Nairobi, Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Her name is\u00a0Tara\u00a0Wambugu. \u00a0She has a blog called <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mama Mgeni<\/span><\/a> <\/span>which appears to contain posts going as far back July 2012. \u00a0The word <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">mgeni<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> means\u00a0foreigner in Swahili.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tara is a former emergency medical humanitarian aid\u00a0worker who appears to have worked in countries such as the Congo (which one?),\u00a0Uganda, Haiti, South Sudan and\u00a0Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She now lives in Nairobi, Kenya and is married (married 2010) to a Kenyan man named Jesse Wambugu\u00a0(he&#8217;s a Kikuyu) and they have two daughters together. \u00a0The newest edition to the family was born this year, 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Their daughter was born at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya on\u00a0February 25th 2014. \u00a0This makes me remember Dr. Merry (or is it Marry or perhaps Mary?) Othigo who has worked at the Aga Khan Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On July 7th 2014 Tara Wambugu\u00a0published an article at her blog which she titled,<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/07\/07\/how-to-getting-a-birth-certificate-in-kenya\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">How to: Getting a birth certificate in\u00a0Kenya<\/span><\/a><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Its an interesting and thought-provoking piece and I\u00a0thoroughly\u00a0recommend that you read it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In a<\/span> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/07\/07\/how-to-getting-a-birth-certificate-in-kenya\/comment-page-1\/#comment-794\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">comment<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">below her article Tara indicated that she gave birth at a hospital,\u00a0Aga Khan in Nairobi, Kenya. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In her article Tara informs the reader that in Kenya (2014), if your child was born at a hospital, the hospital sends a notification<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0of birth to the Kenyan government (the registrar of your local City Hall)\u00a0indicating that a birth took place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She also informs the reader that the birth hospital is required to present the parents with a stub from the notification of birth before the mother is discharged from the hospital. Tara states, in all caps, (I suppose to emphasis importance), <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXX (deleted quote because of copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu) but something about taking special care to hold on to the stub and not misplacing or losing it!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/07\/07\/how-to-getting-a-birth-certificate-in-kenya\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She indicates that the registrar of your local City Hall will forward a record of your child&#8217;s birth to the Birth Registry at Bishop&#8217;s House in Upper Hill. \u00a0This makes me remember that Dr. James Ang\u2019awa who lived in the same neighborhood,\u00a0<\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Upper Hill<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, in Nairobi with Barack Obama Sr. during the\u00a01970s and up thru Obama Sr.\u2019s death in the early 1980s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As you may know, the Kenyan doctor who delivered baby Barack Hussein Obama II was James Oyunga William Ang\u2019awa:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Angawa-certificate-name-and-sig.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3027\" alt=\"Angawa certificate name and sig\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Angawa-certificate-name-and-sig-1024x126.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"78\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Angawa-certificate-name-and-sig-1024x126.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Angawa-certificate-name-and-sig-300x36.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Angawa-certificate-name-and-sig.jpg 1243w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tara goes on to inform the reader that the process of obtaining your child&#8217;s Kenyan certificate of birth will typically take about four (4) weeks or more. \u00a0Parents can then take the\u00a0stub from the notification of birth (which was provided by the hospital before the mother was discharged) to the Bishop&#8217;s House and, the word which Tara&#8217;s uses is &#8220;hopefully,&#8221; you will be issued a certificate of birth for your child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tara also provides an excellent bit of very telling and thought-provoking advice to the effect that parents need to (her caps, not mine),<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">X<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(deleted quote because of\u00a0copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu)<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">but something about\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #ff0000;\">misspellings and typos being very common on birth certificates in Kenya. \u00a0She said something to the effect that one must rigorously and exhaustively check birth certificates for errors and that Kenyans are genetically predisposed to misspelling names and other words.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It appears that Tara Wamgugu, and one of her friends (Lisa) from, or in, Kenya, were surprised that Tara didn\u2019t have to pay a bribe to be issued a Kenyan birth certificate for her newly born child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/03\/13\/baby-mgeni-2-needs-a-name\/comment-page-1\/#comment-232\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">In a comment posted by Lisa on March 13th 2014<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">she indicates that when she (Lisa, not Tara) decided to give birth in America (I assume that means the United States) her first thoughts were that, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(deleted quote because of\u00a0copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu)<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">but was some sort of a joke about not having to pay a bribe for a birth certificate because she&#8217;s not giving birth in Kenya this time. She must be a baby-machine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0She (Lisa) also informs Tara that she knows a guy who issues (the words which Lisa&#8217;s uses are, he &#8220;types them up&#8221;)\u00a0birth certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lisa goes on to state that when she used the word &#8220;bribe&#8221; she meant something small like buying lunch for the guy who types up the birth certificates. \u00a0Lisa ended her comment by telling Tara that,\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXX<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXX<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XX\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(deleted quote because of\u00a0copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu)<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">but something about she had to break her own rule about paying bribes because it was just much too imperative and important not to pay the bribe. She also offers Tara the telephone number for the Kenyan guy of will type up birth certificates if you pay him a bribe. \u00a0She also says that she wants Tara and her Kikuyu husband and their half American half Kenyan offspring to be ok and healthy.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/03\/13\/baby-mgeni-2-needs-a-name\/comment-page-1\/#comment-233\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Tara responds to Lisa in\u00a0comment posted on March 15th 2014<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">in which she states that, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(deleted quote because of\u00a0copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu) but something about Tara being shocked that she didn&#8217;t end up having to pay a bribe for her newly born baby&#8217;s birth certificate<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">she (Tara) did not have to pay any bribes to get her daughter&#8217;s Kenyan birth certificate. \u00a0Tara ended her comment by stating, with punctuation and amazement, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(deleted quote because of\u00a0copyright infringement claim by\u00a0Tara Wambugu) but something<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0to the effect that she was exceedingly astonished and thoroughly amazed that she didn\u2019t have to pay a bribe for her little half American half Kenyan offspring birth certificate.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mamamgeni.com\/2014\/03\/13\/baby-mgeni-2-needs-a-name\/comment-page-1\/#comment-233\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Conclusion<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It appears that paying bribes, contrary to what skeptics have indicated in the past, is somewhat common practice in Kenya when requesting a birth certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It also appears that misspellings and typos are still, even in the year 2014, very common on Kenyan birth certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please exercise your free speech in the comments section below.
