He knew my parents before I was a twinkle in their eye, and he was one of the first people anywhere to step up and support me for president. So you could say that Governor Abercrombie has had my back since before I was born<\/span><\/em>, Obama said. <\/span>His commitment to Hawaii runs deep, just like mine. I value him as a partner, and because of Neil\u2019s work, Hawaii\u2019s best days are ahead.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Abercrombie was born June 26th 1938 and is the Governor (17th) of the State of Hawaii.\u00a0 He is a member of the Democratic Party and has served as Governor since 2010 and is seeking election to a second term as governor in 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vote is scheduled for August 9th 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n
