{"id":4074,"date":"2014-03-29T01:28:21","date_gmt":"2014-03-29T05:28:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/?p=4074"},"modified":"2014-04-25T00:36:26","modified_gmt":"2014-04-25T04:36:26","slug":"lucas-daniel-smith-arrested-2014-for-extradition-to-kenya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/lucas-daniel-smith-arrested-2014-for-extradition-to-kenya\/","title":{"rendered":"Lucas Daniel Smith arrested (2014) for extradition to Kenya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Earlier this year I was able to obtain, from contacts in Kenya, a tangible (paper) certified-copy (Jan. 16, 2014) of a birth certificate which was originally issued in the year 1963 by the Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya for a male child with name Russell Leslie Oppenheim who was born on May 13th, 1963:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px auto 6px auto; font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; display: block;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"View 1963 (2014 certified copy) Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, birth certificate for Russell Leslie Oppenheim. on Scribd\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/215159839\/1963-2014-certified-copy-Coast-Province-General-Hospital-Mombasa-British-Protectorate-of-Kenya-birth-certificate-for-Russell-Leslie-Oppenheim\">1963 (2014 certified copy) Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, birth c&#8230;<\/a> by <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"View Lucas Daniel Smith's profile on Scribd\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/Patriot1980\">Lucas Daniel Smith<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"doc_62087\" src=\"\/\/www.scribd.com\/embeds\/215159839\/content?start_page=1&amp;view_mode=scroll&amp;access_key=key-2cz3xpweqfg5etjl6588&amp;show_recommendations=true\" height=\"600\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-auto-height=\"false\" data-aspect-ratio=\"0.772922022279349\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On or about the 4th day of February 2014 while I was physically present in the Dominican Republic, the National Police (Policia Nacional) raided my home in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with an arrest warrant for extradition to Kenya on criminal charges of allegedly bribing government officials in Kenya.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I wasn&#8217;t home and it should be noted that I spent a significant percentage of February 2014 in the Barahona Province of the Dominican Republic. \u00a0\u00a0 I was subsequently arrested on or about the 20th day of February 2014 in the Barahoma Province of the Dominican Republic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On or about the 24th day of February 2014 I was moved from the Barahoma Province to a jail\/prison\/penitentiary named <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La Victoria<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> which is located in the Santo Domingo Province of the Dominican Republic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I was released on bond of 250,000 Dominican Pesos (which is approximately $5800 US Dollars) earlier this week on Monday.\u00a0 The bond was paid, for which I am supremely and immensely thankful, by my friend and compatriot Bruce Steadman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I am consulting with a law firm in the Dominican Republic to assist me in<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">legally contesting and opposing extradition to Kenya. \u00a0 I will be disclosing documents which are direct components of this litigation in a series of WOBIK blog reports, including today&#8217;s report.\u00a0\u00a0 The following document was recently made available to me and, as far as I currently know, is one of the earliest (though not the earliest) documents in the extradition, to Kenya, case:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px auto 6px auto; font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; display: block;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"View 2014.
