first\u00a0photo listed above was taken in the year 1973 <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(is the year correct?)<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 Dr. Ng&#8217;endo Mwangi, Kenya&#8217;s first woman physician.\u00a0\u00a0 She is the woman on the left.\u00a0\u00a0 This photograph was taken approximately 12 years after she graduated from Smith College in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p>The second photo listed above consists partly of text taken from a letter written by Dr. Ng&#8217;endo Mwangi.\u00a0\u00a0 Letter was written (year unknown) sometime after her 25 year class reunion at Smith College which was held in the year 1986.\u00a0\u00a0 NOTE:\u00a0 It appears that\u00a0this remarkable woman\u00a0passed away sometime in the year 1991.<\/p>\n<p>John Kwame Odongo, <em>Supervisor of Obstetrics<\/em>, is listed on (including\u00a0his signature) Barack Obama&#8217;s 1961 Coast Province General Hospital (CPGH), Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, certificate of birth.<\/p>\n<p>The inhabitants of Obotopia\u00a0contend that the name John Kwame Odongo cannot be located in the digitized annals of the <strong><em>Kenya Gazette<\/em><\/strong> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253), and\u00a0consequenlty, on account of that,\u00a0he must never have existed in the first place.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>James Ang&#8217;awa, listed as\u00a0<em>Attending Doctor<\/em> on Barack Obama&#8217;s 1961 CPGH certificate of birth, \u00a0can be found several times throughout the digitized annals of the <strong><em>Kenya Gazette<\/em><\/strong> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The most recent listing of his name under Cap. 253\u00a0dates from the year 1969.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He was murdered the following year in 1970.<\/p>\n<p>Before I go any further I want to state here for the record that I don&#8217;t believe that\u00a0data listed in the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em>, under the sections for <em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253), is a comprehensive listing.\u00a0\u00a0 Furthermore, I&#8217;m not\u00a0convinced that registration, or listing, in the Kenya Gazette, or anywhere, including the government agency where registration took place, was, in practice, really and trully compulsory or that work as a medical practitioner in Kenya was contingent upon\u00a0such a registration.<\/p>\n<p>For sometime now, more than a year or so, I have suspected that John Kwame Odongo might have changed his name or used various names througout different stages of his life and career.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Throughout hundreds of man hours of painstaking research, including <em>field work<\/em>, I&#8217;ve gathered\u00a0and\u00a0amased a bundle of compelling and extraordinary data on the life\u00a0and times of the man that I am condifent is known to\u00a0many of us Birthers and Obotopians\u00a0as John Kwame Odongo.\u00a0\u00a0 NOTE:\u00a0 &#8216;field work&#8217; is work that Obotopians define as\u00a0having to pull their man-boobs up off their wine-and-meat bloated bellies and then\u00a0relinquishing the manning of their computer keyboards\u00a0followed by\u00a0disconnect from their matrix-like tether\u00a0to Wikipedia and Google and\u00a0lastly followed up by freigtening venture outdoors into the real world where carnal man roams somewhat unrestrained.\u00a0 A frightening place for keyboard-detective-warrior Obotopians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Throughout my research I&#8217;ve found other Kenyan doctors that have changed their names.\u00a0\u00a0 One very\u00a0 curious case involves Kenya&#8217;s first woman doctor, Dr. Ng&#8217;endo Mwangi.\u00a0\u00a0 See\u00a0the below\u00a0 <em><strong>NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME<\/strong><\/em>, <em>Kenya Gazette, 3rd day of January, 1967.\u00a0 Page 16:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Kenya-Gazette-Jan-3-1967-page-16.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413\" title=\"Kenya Gazette Jan 3, 1967 page 16\" 8th day, or the 23rd, of December 1966, <em><strong>Dr. Florence Gladwell<\/strong><\/em> changed her name to <em><strong>Dr. Ng&#8217;endo Mwangi<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>What so curious about all of this?<\/p>\n<p><strong>a<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 The name <em>Florence Gladwell<\/em> is\u00a0NOT listed in any of the digitized annals of the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253).<\/p>\n<p><strong>b<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 The name Ngendo Mwangi is ONLY listed in\u00a0ONE single edition of the digitized annals of the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253).\u00a0\u00a0 Moreover, its an\u00a0edition from the year <strong>1979<\/strong>, more than 12 years after she, the doctor,\u00a0changed her name in Kenya in the year 1966.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 See the below, <em><strong>0508 Mwangi, Ngendo<\/strong><\/em>, <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em>,<em> 9th day of March, 1979.\u00a0 Page 298<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><a \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The only other quasi-listing for <em>Mwangi Ng&#8217;endo<\/em> in the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253) is\u00a0given under the subsection titled,\u00a0<em><strong>REMOVAL OF NAMES FROM REGISTER ON ACCOUNT OF DE<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>ATH<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 See the below, <em><strong>0508 Mwangi, Ngendo<\/strong><\/em>, <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em>, <em>1st\u00a0day of November, 1991.\u00a0 Page 1705:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/doctor-removed-from-list.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-415\" title=\"doctor removed from list\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wasobamaborninkenya.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/doctor-removed-from-list.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"243\" we know regarding Dr. [Florence] Ng&#8217;endo Mwangi&#8217;s employment as a medical practitioner in Kenya?<\/p>\n<p><strong>a<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 She worked at <strong><em>Kenyatta National Hospital<\/em><\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>in Nairobi<\/em><\/span>, for several years.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<em>See<\/em> 2nd photo listed at the head of this blog report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 She worked at, and created, the <strong><em>Athi River Clinic <\/em><\/strong>(a.k.a <em>Athiriver Medical Clinic<\/em>), <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>some 35 kilometers southeast of Nairobi<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>See<\/em> 2nd photo listed at the head of this blog report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>c<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 She also wanted to create, or perhaps started to create (or perhaps did create), a new clinic named <em><strong>Reto Medical Center<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>See<\/em> 2nd photo listed at the head of this blog report.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s all this got to do with John Kwame Odongo?<\/p>\n<p><strong>a<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It appears that the\u00a0name <em><strong>John Kwame Odongo\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is\u00a0NOT listed in any of the digitized annals of the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical\u00a0Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253).\u00a0\u00a0 Neither is the name <em><strong>Florence Gladwell<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 The name Ngendo Mwangi is ONLY listed in\u00a0ONE single edition of the digitized annals of the <em>Kenya Gazette<\/em> under the section for\u00a0<em>The Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act<\/em> (Cap. 253).\u00a0\u00a0 Moreover, its an\u00a0edition from the year <strong>1979<\/strong>, more than 12 years after she, the doctor,\u00a0changed her name in Kenya in the year 1966.\u00a0\u00a0 Where&#8217;s the other entries of her name?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Can we safely assume that\u00a0the directory is NOT a comprehensive listing?\u00a0\u00a0 Are there other doctors that are not listed for the years that they worked as medical practitioners in Kenya?\u00a0\u00a0 Did the policy\/regulation\/law apply to doctos that were not citizens of Kenya?<\/p>\n<p><strong> c<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It appears that if John Kwame Odongo changed\u00a0his name (I believe he changed\u00a0his name a few times or more) that that would not have been atypical for doctors in Kenya as we now have a record from December 1966\/1967, of <em><strong>Dr. Florence Gladwell<\/strong><\/em> changing her name to <em><strong>Dr.
