\"WP_002117\"I own this African birth certificate and its one of my most cherished certificates of birth.\u00a0 The form itself was manufactured in Arabic and English text.\u00a0 The handwritten biodata is listed in Arabic and this includes the numbers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official date format in Sudan is the British DD\/MM\/YYYY (day\/month\/year)<\/span> but this particular birth certificate lists dates in YYYY\/MM\/DD (year\/month\/day).\u00a0<\/span> Sudan was administered by Britain and Egypt from the years 1899 thru 1956.<\/span><\/p>\n

The date of birth listed on this birth certificate is November 20, 1912 or maybe 1913.\u00a0 Arabic symbols for 2 (\u0662<\/b>) and 3 (\u0663<\/b>) are somewhat similar to each other (especially if you’re reading them as an American).<\/span><\/p>\n

The document itself (which in an Extract of the original record of birth similar to those issued in the United States) appears to have been issued in the year 1914 (\u0661\u0669\u0661\u0664<\/strong>). \u00a0 I’m not able to ascertain the precise date of issue because I don’t understand what the c-looking number symbol represents in \u0661\u0669\u0661\u0664-c-\u0668<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 The upside-down-v-looking number symbol is eight (8) and indicates the 8th day of the month.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The vaccination date (\u0661\u0669\u0661\u0664-c-\u0661<\/b>\u0665<\/b><\/strong>) is listed as the 15th day of some month (again the c-looking number) in 1914.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its should also be noted here that this document also states that vaccination should be conducted within three months of birth and non-compliance renders the offender liable to a monetary fine.\u00a0 After having read that I am now even more uncertain if the date of birth is listed as 1912 or 1913.\u00a0 Readers are welcome and implored to judge for themselves (I lean towards 1912).<\/span><\/p>\n

Skeptics have indicated that Barack Obama’s 1961 Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, Certificate of Birth is not genuine because the numeric date format used on the document is not the British DD\/MM\/YYYY (day\/month\/year).<\/span><\/p>\n

If the skeptics are correct then is this Anglo-Egyptian Sudan birth certificate a fake?<\/span><\/p>\n
