For a number of years I’ve been\u00a0acquiring and collecting\u00a0old currency, bonds and other paper antiquities (e.g., newspapers, letters, photographs) from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Congo and equatorial Africa.<\/p>\n

At\u00a0some point\u00a0in 2009 I began to beat the bushes for tangible historical documents and records from Kenya.\u00a0\u00a0 I went to work on authentication of the Barack Obama’s 1961 Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, certificate of birth.\u00a0\u00a0 Prior to this I’d never had much interest in east Africa.<\/p>\n

From the outset of my going public with Barack Obama\u2019s Kenyan birth certificate there’s been controversy over whether or not 1961 Mombasa was located in Kenya or Zanzibar.\u00a0\u00a0 Obots, skeptics, Jerome Corsi and World Net Daily have put forth claims that the city of Mombasa was\u00a0part\u00a0of Zanzibar until sometime in the year 1964 when Kenya became a republic.\u00a0\u00a0 These same critics have stated that hospital birth records in Mombasa, in the year 1961, would list Mombasa as being part of, or located in, Zanzibar.<\/p>\n

I’ve conducted hundreds of man hours in research and investigation and I’ve ascertained that the Colony of Kenya and the Protectorate of Kenya were\u00a0formed\u00a0in 1920 out of the land that made up the East Africa Protectorate aka British East Africa.\u00a0 The coast lands were not annexed\u00a0for the\u00a0Colony\u00a0but became the\u00a0Protectorate of\u00a0Kenya.\u00a0See<\/em><\/strong> ‘Exclusive: Lucas Daniel Smith speaks with The Post & Email’. It should be noted that the Sultan of Zanzibar owned the coast lands, including Mombasa,\u00a0but that the British administered the coast lands, including Mombasa, as the Protectorate of Kenya from 1920 thru 1964.\u00a0\u00a0 It should further be noted the British had a lease\u00a0on the coast lands, including Mombasa,\u00a0which dated back to the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Featured at the head of this blog report is a Mombasa, Kenya Protectorate souvenir view letter card<\/em><\/strong> with affixed Tanganyika Kenya Uganda 20 cent postage stamp which is postmarked 10 MY 44 (10th day of May, 1944).<\/p>\n

I purchased this letter card in March of 2011 and I have it in my personal possession.\u00a0\u00a0 I also have quite a few other paper antiquities from colonial Kenya and British East Africa.\u00a0 Unlike my ardent affection and my passion for accumulating things past from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Congo and equatorial Africa I have no intentions of keeping, for a prolonged period of time,\u00a0any of the Kenyan and East African antiquities that I have in my possession.\u00a0 At some point down the road, when\u00a0Barack\u00a0Hussein Obama II’s\u00a0Kenyan birth\u00a0is\u00a0considered an overt truth amongst contemporary Americans,\u00a0I intend to award the entire lot of it to a university, museum or historical society in Mombasa, Kenya.<\/p>\n
