President Donald Trump called on Vice President Mike Pence to send key battleground states\u2019 electoral results back to state legislatures during the Joint Session of Congress on Jan. 6.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStates want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process never received legislative approval,\u201d Trump wrote on Twitter. \u201cAll Mike Pence has to do is send them back to the States, AND WE WIN. Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A report from the New York Times, which used anonymous sources, claimed that Pence told Trump that he has little power.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Trump on Tuesday night rejected the NY Times\u2019 report, saying Pence \u201cnever said that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe New York Times report regarding comments Vice President Pence supposedly made to me today is fake news \u2026 The Vice President and I are in total agreement that the Vice President has the power to act,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
