US Attorney General Bill Barr on Monday announced the DOJ is declaring war on dangerous \u201csanctuary city\u201d policies. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barr made the announcement at the National Sheriff\u2019s Association Tech Conference.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barr said the DOJ would be filing multiple lawsuits against state and local governments for enacting \u201csanctuary city\u201d policies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe department is filing a complaint against the state of New Jersey seeking declaratory and injunctive relief against its laws that forbid state and local law enforcement from sharing vital information about criminal aliens with [the DHS],\u201d Barr said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A separate lawsuit would be targeting King County, Washington over a dangerous policy \u201cthat forbids DHS from deporting aliens from the United States using King County International Airport,\u201d Barr said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
