Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate why it is the \u201c<\/em>world\u2019s greatest hypocrite<\/em><\/a>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Australia recently condemned the Islamic kingdom of human rights abuses, the latter launched an \u201c<\/em>extraordinary<\/em><\/a>\u201d tirade.\u00a0 Saudi ambassador, Abdulaziz Alwasil, projected everything his nation does onto Australia.\u00a0 He claimed that minorities, migrants and Muslims face \u201chorrific violations of human rights\u201d and \u201cracist and extremist policies\u2026.\u00a0 We see in some countries, radicalism against Muslims, we see xenophobia, racism. And some governments sympathise with them [xenophobes and racists], like Australia. Here we refer to the massacre perpetrated by Brenton Tarrant \u2013 an Australian \u2013 which was based on hate speech.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some context is desperately needed: Saudi Arabia is where not a single non-Muslim building of worship is allowed; its highest Islamic authority decreed that it is \u201c<\/em>necessary to destroy all the churches of the region<\/em><\/a>.\u201d\u00a0 Whenever Christians are suspected of meeting in a house for worship\u2014or as one Saudi official once complained, \u201c<\/em>plotting to celebrate Christmas<\/em><\/a>\u201d\u2014they are\u00a0<\/em>arrested and punished<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Any cross or other non-Muslim symbol found is confiscated and destroyed. Anyone caught trying to smuggle Bibles or any\u00a0other \u201c<\/em>publications that have prejudice to any other religious belief other than Islam<\/em><\/a>\u201d can be executed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
