Meet skeptic (Obot BobJ) Bob Jones

I haven’t ‘outed’ Bob Jones.  He posted a comment (a question) on one of my Youtube videos the other week and it appears that he uses his real (?) name on Youtube.  If he didn’t want anyone to know who he was he wouldn’t have made the comment at the video.

I believe that his name probably really is Bob (or Robert) but I’m not sure about his last name being Jones (although that may very well be his true name).

He appears to be an American who lives in Daegu (or Taegu), South Korea.

He also indicates that he is a teacher (he probably teaches English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language).

If Korea is anything like China (it probably isn’t) then that means, essentially (and perhaps contrary to what you may have been told or read), that there are really and truly only a few requirements for the position:

White American with no skill sets

He doesn’t say exactly where he teaches but I think there’s a good chance (I readily admit that I may be incorrect in my assumption) that he may work at Kyungpook National University.

Or he might be student at Kyungpook National University and teach English as a Second Language at some smaller institute in the city of Daegu (or Taegu).

In his video (dated Sept. 7th 2014) he states, among other things, that if you’re a birther and you’re here just fuck off and die.

Perhaps Bob Jones is looking for traffic.  I don’t have a problem with that.  Maybe he wants to start a blog?  Maybe he’s trying to become an affiliate marketer?  Or perhaps he just wants to share his insight (?) on South Korea with the rest of the world.

We might as well review his video and take this opportunity to study a skeptic and, in return, help him with a little bit of traffic that he may be looking for.

You don’t know a lot, smitty

  2. Langolier says:

I think Lucas was somehow trying to embarrass you into silence. Honestly, I think having outstanding arrest warrants, like Smith does, is far more embarrassing.

  3. Langolier says:

Lucas made some editor’s notes, since he first posted this. But has anyone else noticed the non-advertised revisions? I would seem that his attempt at shaming BobJ into silence didn’t work. So, for reasons only known to himself, Lucas has edited the article to appear less malicious.

Please cite the “non-advertised” edits. (And please read our Rules for writing in the menu.) Most edits are noted. New text is provided in bold red. Deleted text is not really deleted but is converted to strikethrough text.

Those rules are typically not applicable to modifications of stuff like spelling, grammar and syntax.

You should be happy that we make in-article edit notes at all. Most (not all) online news outlets and blogs don’t go that far and at most (if anything) you’ll see a data & time under the title, or at the bottom of the article, that the article was edited or updated.

Furthermore, what’s this about the article being malicious?

As for your previous comment, what did you find about the video that could be implied as embarrassing?

We here at WOBIK report the facts. We don’t bend the reports to make fun of people (even the when those people are rude, use vulgar language and make fun of us).

If you’ve found anything embarrassing about the video or Bob Jones then it was at your conclusion, not ours here at WOBIK.

PS. I was doing Bob Jones a favor by posting his video here at WOBIK. It appears that the guy wants people to watch his videos (one video so far and perhaps another today because it’s Sunday again) about South Korea. He needs traffic, and he didn’t appear to have any.

  5. Looks like Bob Jones has now monetized his video.

Next thing you know he’s going to be an affiliate marketer for Amazon and Clickbank.

Look out for products links from the Bobj!

  6. BobJ says:

    @ Lucas Daniel Smith:

The videos have been monetized since I started posting them, so your last comment starts with a lie. Your posts do not deal in facts, and you know that. I do not need traffic to my youtube channel, or to my blog because I really don’t care for attention. It is more of an exercise in using social media. I don’t have a book or a cause. I am not selling anything. I don’t need to sell anything.

The malicious nature of your post can be seen in the tags. Your tags give you away. Your lies give you away. You are a POS.

FYI: Among the qualifications to teach English here is a college degree and no criminal record. Which means you can’t even meet the basic qualifications.

To attend university, especially a national university, the requirements are even more stringent.

You know you edit articles and videos.

So, when are you going to show a Kenyan visa in your passport?

  7. Langolier says:

Tags mysteriously get edited out, between now and Lucas’s next post.

If there’s anyone who’s an expert on being a White American with no skill sets, it is Lucas Daniel Smith.

WHITE PEOPLE WITH NO SKILL SETS WANTED IN CHINA

by Morgan Hartley and Chris Walker

    Excerpt:

If you’re a white English speaker, you can get a job teaching private English classes in China. Many schools will hire you without any prior experience, teaching credentials, or a working visa. Sometimes you don’t even need to apply for the job. In Urumqi, in China’s northwest, my writing partner and I were offered our first teaching gig at a roadside noodle stand. We had been in the country less than a week.

“Want to work at my school?” a lady asked us, thrusting two business cards forward with a smile. “You can start tomorrow.”

We weren’t sure whether to laugh or not. Was she serious? Neither of us knew the first thing about teaching children.

“We don’t speak Chinese,” we told her.

“No problem,” she replied quickly. “So what do you say?”

But the industry’s rapid growth is creating a new leisure class of young foreigners who are often unqualified for their teaching jobs. In addition to the roughly 180,000 “foreign experts” who enter China on working visas each year to work in education, there are many more who come to work on tourist or university visas. Of the dozens of English teachers we talked to for this story, only two had official work visas, and little more than half had any kind of teaching experience or certification.

Well, I’d say he’s good at story telling…but none of his fiction holds up to suspension of disbelief, like that “Kenyan” birth certificate, or his tale about being extradited, or his dozens of exposé-style pieces about random nonsense, which read like a lot of lorem ipsum.

  11. Fan of Falcon says:

How about this if you are an obot posting here, fuck off and die. Anybody else think that bobj bob and langolier are all the same person?

  12. BobJ says:

    @ Lucas Daniel Smith:
China and South Korea are 2 different countries.

A world traveler like you should know that.

Google can be your friend LLDS.

No, Fan of Falcon, I am just me. BobJ.

    Who are you?

@ Lucas Daniel Smith: Lucas, thanks for staying on this guys case. We were very effective in ridding this place of the likes of him as well as the RACISTS Andrew Vrba, Bob, EllenH, Kurt Colman as well as all their sock puppets. Keep up the good fight in the new year Lucas. You have many followers out here that appreciate all you do.

  15. Fan of Falcon says:

    @ Lucas Daniel Smith:
I think this whole thread deserves a revisit. Lucas introduces Bob Jones.

  16. BobJ says:

    @ Lucas Daniel Smith:
    I just saw this.

Chuncheon is a city in South Korea, you clueless fucking idiot.
