For a number of years I’ve been acquiring and collecting old currency, bonds and other paper antiquities (e.g., newspapers, letters, photographs) from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Congo and equatorial Africa.
At some point in 2009 I began to beat the bushes for tangible historical documents and records from Kenya. I went to work on authentication of the Barack Obama’s 1961 Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, certificate of birth. Prior to this I’d never had much interest in east Africa.
From the outset of my going public with Barack Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate there’s been controversy over whether or not 1961 Mombasa was located in Kenya or Zanzibar. Obots, skeptics, Jerome Corsi and World Net Daily have put forth claims that the city of Mombasa was part of Zanzibar until sometime in the year 1964 when Kenya became a republic. These same critics have stated that hospital birth records in Mombasa, in the year 1961, would list Mombasa as being part of, or located in, Zanzibar.
I’ve conducted hundreds of man hours in research and investigation and I’ve ascertained that the Colony of Kenya and the Protectorate of Kenya were formed in 1920 out of the land that made up the East Africa Protectorate aka British East Africa. It should be noted that the Sultan of Zanzibar owned the coast lands, including Mombasa, but that the British administered the coast lands, including Mombasa, as the Protectorate of Kenya from 1920 thru 1964. It should further be noted the British had a lease on the coast lands, including Mombasa, which dated back to the 19th century.
Featured at the head of this blog report is a Mombasa, Kenya Protectorate souvenir view letter card with affixed Tanganyika Kenya Uganda 20 cent postage stamp which is postmarked 10 MY 44 (10th day of May, 1944).
I purchased this letter card in March of 2011 and I have it in my personal possession. I also have quite a few other paper antiquities from colonial Kenya and British East Africa. Unlike my ardent affection and my passion for accumulating things past from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, the Congo and equatorial Africa I have no intentions of keeping, for a prolonged period of time, any of the Kenyan and East African antiquities that I have in my possession. At some point down the road, when Barack Hussein Obama II’s Kenyan birth is considered an overt truth amongst contemporary Americans, I intend to award the entire lot of it to a university, museum or historical society in Mombasa, Kenya.

The Native and Natural Born Citizenship Blog, which certainly is generally NOT considered birther-friendly, posted the following statement in a 9/10/2009 article titled, “Second Kenyan Birth Certificate Surfaces”. The document referred to is the Obama BC obtained by Lucas Daniel Smith from the Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa. The statement made by NBC supports the arguments stated by Lucas in this current post.

Note that NBC spells the birthplace city name once incorrectly as ‘Mombassa’, and twice correctly as ‘Mombasa’ in the same post.

Late on Friday, with the US population embracing the upcoming holidays and oblivious of most news emerging from the administration, Obama quietly signed into law the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which authorizes $611 billion for the military in 2017.
In a statement, Obama said that:
Much of the balance of Obama’s statement blamed the GOP for Guantanamo’s continued operation and warned that “unless the Congress changes course, it will be judged harshly by history,” Obama said. Obama also said Congress failed to use the bill to reduce wasteful overhead (like perhaps massive F-35 cost overruns?) or modernize military health care, which he said would exacerbate budget pressures facing the military in the years ahead.
But while the passage of the NDAA – and the funding of the US military – was hardly a surprise, the biggest news is what was buried deep inside the provisions of the Defense Authortization Act.
Recall that as we reported in early June, “a bill to implement the U.S.’ very own de facto Ministry of Truth had been quietly introduced in Congress.
As with any legislation attempting to dodge the public spotlight the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016 marks a further curtailment of press freedom and another avenue to stultify avenues of accurate information.
Introduced by Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Ted Lieu, H.R. 5181 seeks a “whole-government approach without the bureaucratic restrictions” to counter “foreign disinformation and manipulation,” which they believe threaten the world’s “security and stability.”
Also called the Countering Information Warfare Act of 2016 (S. 2692), when introduced in March by Sen. Rob Portman, the legislation represents a dramatic return to Cold War-era government propaganda battles.
“These countries spend vast sums of money on advanced broadcast and digital media capabilities, targeted campaigns, funding of foreign political movements, and other efforts to influence key audiences and populations,” Portman explained, adding that while the U.S. spends a relatively small amount on its Voice of America, the Kremlin provides enormous funding for its news organization, RT.
“Surprisingly,” Portman continued, “there is currently no single U.S. governmental agency or department charged with the national level development, integration and synchronization of whole-of-government strategies to counter foreign propaganda and disinformation.”
Long before the “fake news” meme became a daily topic of extensive conversation on such discredited mainstream portals as CNN and WaPo, H.R. 5181 would task the Secretary of State with coordinating the Secretary of Defense, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Broadcasting Board of Governors to “establish a Center for Information Analysis and Response,” which will pinpoint sources of disinformation, analyze data, and — in true dystopic manner — develop and disseminate “fact-based narratives” to counter effrontery propaganda.
In short, long before “fake news” became a major media topic, the US government was already planning its legally-backed crackdown on anything it would eventually label “fake news.”

I just filed my latest appeal to the FBI’s improper withholding of my FBI file.
You may not know it, but every American citizen–even a lowly reporter–is entitled to see his FBI file, if one exists. Under Freedom of Information (FOI) law, the government is allowed to redact bits of information from the file if it affects national security or an ongoing investigation, but the government must provide reasons for any such redactions and disclose the rest of the file. The FBI has refused to do this in my case.
The federal government routinely violates FOI law with impunity. I’m receiving assistance with this appeal from Charles Glasser, renowned media lawyer and adjunct professor of Media Ethics and Law at New York University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Glasser says he hopes that the Justice Department takes the newly-elected President’s words to heart, in that the government will work for the people, not the other way around.
“It’s impossible to believe that the DOJ refuses to provide or even acknowledge the investigative file they must have created in allowing a journalist to travel with Presidents and First Families as Sharyl has,” says Glasser. “It makes no sense at all. Every reporter should be able to see what file the government has on them. This is America, not East Germany.”
