According to an Obama birth certificate conspiracy group, Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Lou Barletta’s district staff recently met with a group of “birthers” who presented “evidence” that President Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery.
The meeting also involved a one hour teleconference with Mike Zullo, an “expert” in birthology who gave Barletta’s staff a “full briefing.” Zullo shared information that his “posse” has amassed over its nearly-two-year “probe.”
One of the activists, Michael Volin, owner of WheresObamasBirthCertificate.com, said that “the staff was cordial and receptive and actually agreed with most of our findings.”
“We have a pledge from the staff to investigate all of the materials,” added Volin.
It is unclear whether Barletta’s staff was just being friendly in the hopes of getting the birthers to go away, or whether Barletta’s staff will actually follow up on their promise to investigate.
At least one birther website has added Barletta to their list of Congressmen who believe that a congressional investigation into the birth certificate is in order.
