Dan Henninger: The Obamaian Universe

This is far off topic for this blog, and typically I wouldn’t post something like this, but this sort of seemed significant to me and I wanted to share it.

Daniel Henninger is Deputy Editorial Page Director of the Wall Street Journal and a Fox News contributor. He also writes a column named Wonder Land which appears every Thursday.

After watching the above video you may also want to read his column at the Wall Street Journal which was published last night (February 27, 2013, 7:13 p.m. ET) and has already received at least 778 comments:

Henninger: The Obamaian Universe
A place where everything revolves around the fixed planet of public spending.

PS- Obamaian is pronounced Oh-buh-mayan.

I just briefly skimmed the article and it does look very interesting. I’ll try to make an intelligent comment on it tomorrow.

For now, and also far off topic, though perhaps somehow related to the current post –

BRAVO – Dan Henninger – on an Outstanding Article and Video Interview! Very Perceptive!

The following are approximate quotes by Mr. Henninger excerpted from the posted video:

    1:34 to 2:03
This president, I think, is more different than any in living memory. I think even Franklin Roosevelt understood the legitimacy and purpose of the private sector. Barack Obama regards the privante sector as an abstraction. Simply something out there that processes tax revenue into Washington so this spending machine, this magic force, can raise up the country. He does not want to cut spending.

    2:47 to 3:28
… I think Obama, again, is the kind of populous president of the type the united States has not seen in a long time. His idea of politics is to go out and gather up the great populous force of public opinion and drive it against his opposition, in this case, the Republicans, rather than engage them at all in any kind of political process.

Honestly Mary, I think it has more in common with what we have often seen in South American politics than in North American politics; this kind of cult of personality, this populous force that kind of requires the political class to recognize it and do what he wants to do and submit.

    — I think (HOPE) the message Mr. Henninger really WANTS TO CONVEY, though he realizes that he most certainly can NOT deliver it from his current position with the WSJ, would somewhat resemble the following –

With Obama, we are basically dealing with a third world, South American variety DICTATOR!

I politely said that this president is ‘more different’ than any in ‘recent memory’. I toned down my real feelings and tried to keep things cool. While preparing this series of articles, I actually considered EVERY OTHER AMERICAN PRESIDENT going all the way back to George Washington, and Obama seems to be RADICALLY DIFFERENT FROM THEM ALL. Otherwise, I would have bluntly stated something like: I believe Obama is probably the worst (or strangest) president we’ve had since … (actual name of identified president).

My metaphor comparing ‘Obama Economic Theory’ with ‘Pre-Copernican Astronomical Theory’ should give readers a good idea of how PATHETICALLY POOR I judge his level of economic understanding to be.

I said that my purpose in posting this series of articles was to help people to better UNDERSTAND OBAMA in order that we can, by some miracle, keep this country from going completely down the toilet. Hey, I tried. However, I’m not expecting much will change in the ‘Obamaian Universe’ any time soon! We just have to keep doing our best, regardless how dark the future looks right now.

Giving up on the U.S.A is unthinkable!

  3. @ Bruce:

Thank you very much for reviewing the Henninger interview & article and sharing your thoughts on it here. I agree that it was an outstanding article and interview!

    STAR SYSTEM LUCASMITH*

*Pronounced: Lou’ – ka – Smith

Lucas Daniel Smith, noted astrophysicist and part-time researcher of crytic (as in crytozoology) animals, such as the fabled dinosaur-like animal commonly referred to as Mokele Mbembe, visited the dark continent of Africa in February 2009.

Dr. Smith’s investigation concerning that fabled creature took him first to the Republic of the Congo and then to Nairobi, Kenya. There, as sometimes fortuitously happens when conducting scientific research, Astrophysicist Smith heard about some mysterious ‘Obama Dark Matter’ located in a locked vault at the Coast Province General Hospital down in the Kenyan port city of Mombasa.

Smith, fascinated with the possibilities that might result if the mysterious matter actually existed, traveled to Mombasa and was able to obtain a small 8.5 x 11.0 inch slice of the heretofore invisible ‘Obama Dark Matter’. He returned to the U.S.A. with his valuable discovery and now, as even the youngest high school science student knows, his discovery is universally recognized as the foundation of the previously unknown star system, which has since been appropriately named, ‘LUCASMITH’

At the center of the star system, of course, is the so-called ‘Obama Dark Matter’ discovered by Dr. Smith. Around that small, mysterious center object, spin the following:

    — The large gas-planet known as the ‘Obama LFBC, discovered 4/27/2011. It appears to be surrounded by a dense, protective Holder Shield Cloud.

    — The awesome planet known as the Susan Daniels, Obama SSN Challenge. This planet has two orbiting moons. One is known as the Linda Jordan, Obama E-Verify Challenge. The other is known as the Al Hendershot, Obama/Soetoro/Bounel SSN Challenge.

    — The large, white-hot planet known as the Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Obama LFBC Challenge.

    — The smaller, but still easily visible to the naked eye, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Obama Selective Service Application Challenge.

    — Many large, orbiting objects including the Apuzzo, Taitz, Berg, Donofrio, Klayman, Irion, Allen, Sibley, Kreep and Hatfield Court Challenges.

    — Many other large, orbiting objects including the Lakin, Cook, Kerchner, Strunk, Voeltz, Welden, Hollister, Barnett, Daniels, Jordan, Noonan, Dummett, McInnish, Fair and Manning Citizen Challenges.

    — A myriad of much smaller, orbiting comets, meteors and asteroids, which when examined closely, appear to be various newspaper articles, web-pages and internet sites concerned with the Obama POTUS Eligibility Issue.

The entire ‘LucaSmith’ star system is held together by a mysterious ‘ObamaFraud Force’. Carefully conducted scientific tests have conclusively shown that this force is ‘attractive’ to a limited number of objects on rare occasions but most often is highly ‘REPULSIVE’ to all normal entities!

The LucaSmith Star System seems to lie parallel to the Obamaian Universe. If these two opposing systems ever collide, they will surely form what can only be referred to as Big Bang Version 2.0

Question: Is there such a place, far, far away, that could be referred to as a perpendicular (as opposed to parallel) universe? If such a place exists, I’d like to travel there, warp-speed, and camp out for awhile!

Scientists Find Possible Hint of Dark Matter

    Snipit:

It is one of the cosmos’ most mysterious unsolved cases: dark matter. It is supposedly what holds the universe together. We can’t see it, but scientists are pretty sure it’s out there.

Led by a dogged, Nobel Prize winner who has spent 18 years on the case, scientists put a $2 billion detector aboard the International Space Station to try to track down the stuff. And after two years, the first evidence came in Wednesday: tantalizing cosmic footprints that seem to have been left by dark matter.
