Ahmed Mohammed Clock is a FRAUD

Published on Sep 18, 2015 by 'Thomas Talbot'

This video shows that the supposed clock invention by a 14 year old is in fact not an invention. The 'clock' is a commercial bedside alarm clock removed from its casing. There is nothing to indicate that the clock was even assembled by the child. I suspect this was brought into school to create an alarmed reaction.

So, Mark Zuckerberg, Mr. President, Make Magazine (which should know better), and others: You've been duped. Please do recognize youths of all backgrounds who create wonderful inventions with electronics. The kid making press around the world did not invent or build a clock.

Maher Battles Guests on Ahmed Mohamed: Be Cautious When Young Muslims Are ‘Blowing Sh*t Up’

      Mediaite

      by Josh Feldman
      9/18/2015

      Excerpt:

Bill Maher really went off on the case of Ahmed Mohamed and said maybe liberals should drop the political correctness and consider that maybe being cautious is a good thing.

Maher made it clear that of course the Texas teen deserves an apology for being arrested over a clock, but said there’s nothing wrong with being a little suspicious when there’s a young Muslim student with something that “looks exactly like a fucking bomb” and there are young Muslims “blowing shit up” all over the world.

Mark Cuban also said he had some doubts, based on a phone conversation he had with Mohamed––claiming his sister was feeding him answers––and saying he heard secondhand that he brought the clock to a few different classes and it wasn’t a problem for plenty of teachers.

How Ahmed’s clock became a false, convenient tale of racism

        New York Post

        Kyle Smith
        9/19/2015

        Excerpt:

When is America going to get serious about the problem of white kids getting suspended from school for nothing?

By now you’ve heard the story of Ahmed Mohamed, crowned by the Daily Beast “The Muslim Hero America Has Been Waiting For” after the 14-year-old brought to school a beeping, strange-looking homemade concealed device that turned out to be a clock.

School officials, thinking, as 95% of Americans would, that it kinda looked like a bomb, hauled him out of class. Police put him in handcuffs and, even after the confusion passed, the boy was suspended from school.

That earned Mohamed a planned trip to the White House, a message of support from Hillary Clinton, an offer to stop by Facebook to meet Mark Zuckerberg and an invitation to be an intern at Twitter.

The police overreacted. Yet the device did look like something Ethan Hunt would lob out of a helicopter at the last minute in “Mission: Impossible.” As National Review’s Charles Cooke pointed out on Twitter, the scary-looking tangle of wires “looks a lot more like a bomb than a pop tart looks like a gun.”

Josh Welch, a white Maryland kid with ADHD who was 7 years old when he was kicked out of school for chewing a Pop-Tart into the shape of a pistol and pretending to shoot other students with it, must be puzzled.

Where’s his White House invitation? Where’s his chance to start networking at Facebook? His parents were forced to hire a lawyer and spent a year and a half just trying to get the suspension erased from the kid’s record. They were repeatedly refused.

“I stand with Ahmed, too. But I also stand with Alex Stone,” noted Reason writer Robby Soave. Alex Stone, a 16-year-old white kid from Summerville, SC, wrote a short story in which he imagined using a gun to kill a dinosaur. For this his locker was searched and he was arrested, handcuffed, charged with “disorderly conduct” and suspended from school for three days.

Obviously the White House and Mark Zuckerberg couldn’t be bothered to comment, but you’d think that, at the very least, Stephen King would have sent out a tweet expressing outrage that imagination was being punished.

        Nada.

In Dyer County, Tenn., Kendra Turner says she was suspended for saying, “Bless you” after a student sneezed, and that her teacher told her that she would have no “godly speaking in class.”

Media Falsely Reporting that Police Won’t Return Ahmed’s ‘Clock’

          Breitbart / Big-Government

          Lee Stranahan
          9/24/2015

          Excerpt:

The family and supporters of “Clock Boy” Ahmed Mohamed continue to spread false narratives to garner sympathy and disparage authorities, this time acting as though Irving, Texas police are withholding the suspicious looking device that Mohamed brought to school from his family. Mohamed has seen a flood of support from everyone from President Obama to officials at Facebook to Google, who hailed the boy for the clock he claimed to have invented that turned out to be a 1980s device from Radio Shack that he had removed from its case.

The lead paragraph of a national story on ABCNews.go.com suggests the attorneys are tasked with retrieving the clock. The picture:

The family of Ahmed Mohamed, the boy who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock into school that was mistaken for a bomb, has hired a lawyer to get the timepiece back and has decided to home school the teen and his siblings.

“The family has now hired two Dallas attorneys, Thomas Bowers and Reggie London, to pursue Ahmed’s legal rights and regain his science project from the Irving Police Department,” read a statement from representatives for the family released today.

However, as the Dallas Morning News reports in the last paragraph of the article about Mohamed retaining legal counsel, the family were told days ago they were free to pick up the clock at any point. The ABC story makes no mention of this, even though it was published hours after the Dallas Morning News Story, which says:

Irving police announced Wednesday that they had notified Ahmed’s family Friday that the clock could be picked up any weekday at police headquarters. Ahmed’s father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, has told The Dallas Morning News that he planned to retrieve the item but wasn’t sure when.

Ahmed Mohamed meets Sudanese president with whom father had rivalry

The father of the Texas teenager who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school attempted to run against Omar al-Bashir in two elections

            The Guardian

            Lauren Gambino
            10/16/2015

            Excerpt:

Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old Sudanese-American student who was arrested after bringing a homemade clock to school in Texas, has met the Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir, a wanted war criminal who the teen’s father opposed in two presidential elections.

The leader of Sudan greeted the teen at his residence in Khartoum, the nation’s capital, on Wednesday evening, according to the Sudan Tribune. Ahmed and his father, Mohamed al-Hassan, told reporters Bashir complimented the teen on his intellectual pursuits and encouraged his enthusiasm for the sciences.

Last month, Ahmed brought a homemade clock to his high school in Irving, Texas, to show to his engineering teachers. Hours later, he was handcuffed and arrested by school resource officers, after a teacher accused him of making a fake bomb.

The incident ignited an international response, inspiring the social-media hashtag #IStandWithAhmed. Some commentators said the incident reflected anti-Muslim sentiment among officials in the suburban Texas city. His brief arrest also prompted a national discussion about the racial profiling of Muslims.

Politicians and leaders in tech showed their support, including Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton, Nasa and the Turkish prime minister, Ahmet Davutoğlu.

Ahmed is due to meet Obama in Washington, after attending a Muslim gala on Saturday. On Monday he is expected to visit the White House for an evening of stargazing, as a special guest of the president.

Before Sudan, Ahmed and his family toured the Middle East, starting in Doha, Qatar, where he toured Education City – a five-square-mile cluster of universities and thinktanks which includes Texas A&M University’s Qatar campus. He also traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he visited Mecca.

On social media, Ahmed spoke lovingly of Sudan, describing himself through Diddy and Skylar Grey lyrics as a native son returning home.

‘Clock Kid’ Ahmed Mohamed Reportedly Met with Sudanese Dictator Accused of Genocide

              Mediaite

              Ken Meyer
              10/16/2015

              Excerpt:

When Ahmed Mohamed was mistakenly suspected of bringing a bomb to school last month, he and his homemade clock became an overnight news point on racial profiling and Islamophobia. Mohammed’s interest in science was vigorously acclaimed by online commentators, and he received invitations from places ranging from Silicon Valley to the White House.

Before Mohamed meets President Obama though, reports indicate he met a different president this week that might come as a shock to his defenders.

The Washington Post reported that Mohamed and his family were received at a compound in Khartoum, Sudan on Wednesday, where they were greeted by President Omar al-Bashir. The Mohameds reportedly told the state media that Bashir was impressed by the “Clock Kid’s” scientific interest and encouraged his pursuits.

The problem with this is that Bashir is wanted by the International Criminal Court for genocide, crimes against humanity and various other war crimes in Darfur. Bashir’s dictatorial government reportedly offered sanctuary to Osama Bin Laden during the 90s, and the country is still under economic sanctions by the US.
